LordBarker
I'm still scanning through the audio so I'm happy to keep going for a week or so to find any missing bits. I went through some old matches and pretty sure I can filter a nice 'Twin Towers' call down. Also I checked out Showdown for PS2 on an emulator, the call guy sound a bit shit but there is a Warlord and Barbarian, hmmm... I guess as I've only done tag teams, next question. If I'm doing CDLC I figure the obvious way would be to just copy the CDLC character over the superstar I.e just rename Animals pac to Cenas and go over his moveset, tron etc etc But I assume I can redirect/rename Cenas entry somehow to make it a bit quicker? I.e. I leave Animals pac as it is and change something in the arc or the catalog file? Remember Tekken saying how you assign it on a post before, but buggered if I can find it. Red Rooster
I just did it that way, copied Animal over Cena and Hawk over Jinder Mahal, extracted movesets and wrestler info and injected over the new slots, changed the names in the string file and replaced the menu pics and renders. Basically I want to try to get rid of everyone on the selection screen that I dont use and replace them with someone I do and if I can add a correct announcer audio then its that much better. Just tried in-game and sounds great! Did you guys came across the word tv or television ? Wcw tv champion I'm pretty sure I cam across this but didn't write it down - I'm still nosing through so will check again for you buddy. I figured that was the case. Make an all legends game, makes sense! Is replacing the superstar thumbs possible? Don't think I did that even on PS3 and I don't want to see Cena's douchebag face everytime I pick a Road Warrior. It will be smaller than the original but maybe you havent got the settings correct because it shouldnt be that much smaller. Edit: Although the original seems very large, 60mb for a WAV is huge. I made one saying "Representing the British Bulldogs" and its only 146kb Edited November 4, 2014 by Red Rooster

Red Rooster
Ah ok its a whole song, then 60mb is not unusual. Make sure you set the quality in wwise to the highest setting.

I got a 1.5mb file on 10 quality, how can i make sure that it's the right outcome? I'm not exactly sure of the question your asking, but I think the answer is try in-game. Almost anything at quality 6 is fine, so 10 should be good. TBH I've noticed the quality setting doesn't make a great deal of difference and I've done about 80-90 or so sound switches now. Loo The Boss
Question: does this work for Story Designer on WWE2k14?
LordBarker
Any sound in game can be replaced if you can find it.
jamesmichaels
Sorry if this is the wrong place for this...I'd assume it is though...but I recently started trying to use this guide to put in custom audio in the pc version of wwe 2k15. Several other sites link to this spot and suggest that they got it to work. I started following the guide and used sound file 523854587 (one of the generic themes) as the file I want to replace. I converted it like suggested in the tutorial and got 1F3962FB. The problem I am having is, I cannot find that in the hex editor when I search for it. I have tried a few other files as well such as just changing Sheamus's theme but that offset doesn't come up. I admit, I am still pretty new at this and am willing to learn. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I know this thread is mainly about 2k14 but maybe some that had gotten it to work in 15 have some ideas? LordBarker
Did I suggest how to get this to work in your other thread? Are you putting the file in the right line in hex - needs to end in 000 or 800.
jamesmichaels
Did I suggest how to get this to work in your other thread? Are you putting the file in the right line in hex - needs to end in 000 or 800. Think you have me mixed up with someone else. I hadn't posted that here yet. But I do appreciate the reply. I am not sure what you mean by that. I am stuck on step 5 where you take the decimal number of the song, convert it to hex and then step 6, search for it in the hex editor to make a note of it. When I search for that string using the search feature, it doesn't come up. If you've already covered this in another thread, I didn't see it (I promise I did look) and apologize if its repeating info. I kind of feel like it's something I am doing wrong when searching. I click the drop down on HxD to search for the hex string.
