WWE 2K14 Audio finally modded! - custom audio **Tutorial**

Nah I was trying to make sure I had all the files I needed first, was going to try last week and life got in the way so only got round to fixing hellaraisers demolition ax and smash. Have free time this week and will give it a go. I was planning to give ps3 a go too, if I had issues with 360. Will give it a shot and report back.

Maybe Im missing something but where does the converted wav get saved after you click "Convert", does it convert the original file or do I need to Output it somehow?

Because apparently my converted file should be 13.3kb but the original file remains at the original size and when I added it to the game I just get no audio instead of the announced name.

As far as I remember it must be in wwiseprojects/cache folder in documents.

This sounds awesome! Can't wait to give this a go :D Shame we can't add names to CDLC but this is an amazing start.

Hi Red, all names are there apart from the Road Warriors tag announce, which isn't in the folder. Any chance you have that wav please?

Why cant we ?

Isn't Hawk and Animal from Cdlc

Posted (edited)

Sorry I mean surely you have to go over a current superstar - not that that is a problem! I mean we can go over Cena, Triple H etc. etc. with CDLC, but we can't yet add it to CDLC as they have no current name call reference in the hex.

I'm just typing out some wav refs for other calls etc. and will post them. A query, I assume the hometown is an issue?  What I mean is, if you replace Cena's call with Smash's, it will still say Cena's hometown - rather than remain blank right?

Yes, I have to find Cenas hometown and replace it. Another problem I noticed is the Winning Animations but I'll look into that next, we can probably import them from WWE12 or 13

Heres the Road Warriors Call

Thanks man :) Might be a bit late to the party - but sent you a reference pic for the Barbarian sword attire from a '89 press shot.

Ok I made a GoogleDocs Spreadsheet of Entrance Call Names, Team Call names and Hometowns (3 separate sheets, tabs at the bottom).

It is set to be editable by anyone who has the link, please add any entries you find to it and eventually we will have it all mapped out.

P.S. I havent added LordBarkers data from above, can someone do it when they have some time.

Posted (edited)

Hey man - tried a number of ways to edit the table in the link but couldn't for some reason :( Although I've had a long day at work and could be being a spaz. I also didn't bother to add in the additional tag bits like weight etc.

Have added mine here in the spreadsheet and attached it. So hopefully you can just copy over your one with my additional entries?

I also plan to mod some of the calls in Cooledit or Cubase, e.g. splicing the 'The Maniacs' and 'The Utilmate Warrior' to make 'The Ultimate Maniacs' etc. etc.,   so I'll have a search for some more later and upload some of my creations when I get a mo. If you find a Fink call of Ultimate Warrior could you let me know, cheers :)

Something like this - although have some other software to match it, as this is a 5 sec splice I did and sounds shit - but could do some interesting stuff with the right names and when I've matched the samples properly. Macho 'King' call (crap, but you get the idea): https://www.dropbox.com/s/qkmq6apd7aoj1ix/KING%20-%20DEMO.wav?dl=0

Thanks Taker and IamCrazyPT got this working perfectly! For anyone else doing it, not sure if you've found this, but the LOWM calls seem to need to go up a bit in volume from Taker's suggestion, otherwise they're a touch too low. :)

Damn I think I heard th Fink say Ultimate Warrior but I didnt write it down because I wasnt planning on replacing the Warrior :(

Its between 143-150kb in size (Ive been listenening to them in groups by file size)

Posted (edited)

Thanks I'll take a look :) I found a few more calls and updated the file linked in above.

Have done The Road Warriors and Hart Foundation calls - sounding good already. Next up is Rhythm and Blues. I might filter some old Howard Finkel announcements from old PPV for the Twin Towers etc.

Sorry my bad, I had set it to "Anyone can view" its now set to "Anyone can edit".

I have added your findings, thanks LordBarker.

Anyone else can now add to the Spreadsheet, thanks to anyone that wants to help.

Edit : Great idea on making new announcements, please upload any finished tag names. Cheers

I was thinking you could combine "The Power House" or "Power Trip" with The Empire of Pain" to make "The Power of Pain" not quiet perfect but good enough.

I was also thinking I might add "the British Bulldog" for the Bulldogs.

Yeah if we can find Mega Powers then there's ya 'Powers' :)

Hmm I've having issues adding more than two new audio files :/ Have tried a ton of different 00 and 000 offsets and no luck. Road Warriors and Hart Foundation went in fine to The Cleaners and The Good guys respectively. Trying to add Rhythm and Blues over 'The Tough Guys' and won't work at all - doesn't crash just no name call. I think CrazyPT mentioned that he only could get two to inject - have you got further Red? Am I missing something obvious like certain replacements have to be a certain size?

I havent added more than 2 yet, Ill try it now and let you know.

I'll keep an ear out for MegaPowers

Posted

Hope you're successful mate! I'll have a scour through the files again tomorrow. If you're successful might just be that particular audio file.

Posted

Yo I can help you splice in some audio.  I'd splice in an 's' @ the end of the British Bulldog for the Tag call name.  Are you editing them as .wav files?

Posted (edited)

Yeah, just using Cooledit pro :) Although some of the samples don't match up that well. Have access to Protools and such though so as long as can add more than 2 audio files to game I'll knock a few up and can get them hopefully sounding more professional with that. For some I'll just rip the audio off some old PPV's and clean it up probably :) Seeing as I have a few shows were the stars come out to no music.

I would have thought other teams can be made quite simply from the game audio, namely:

'Ultimate Maniacs'

'Mega Maniacs'

'Powers of Pain'

Ok I have 3 entries working now, Hawk, Animal and The Road Warriors.

Make sure when you do make your new offset that the converted offset value (offset/8) is the one that ends in 00 or 000 eg. 30CB8700/ 8 = 61970E0 (no good)

30CB8800/8 = 6197100 (good)

I'll help you LordBarker.  I can make the sounds line up & sound proper.  I do stuff like that all the time.
