hovathagod32 Posted July 31, 2016 Author Posted July 31, 2016 (edited) Great work, do you know when you are going to release the first arenas ?nahhh.. I want to finish all 54 that I'm able to do. I'm not sure how the script thing works but it'll be like the MNW pack, but just all WCW, but beyond. WCW Menus, music and any other thing I can think of. Your plain mat Nitro might make the cut lol Edited July 31, 2016 by hovathagod32 1 Quote

hovathagod32 Posted August 3, 2016 Author Posted August 3, 2016 Holllllllly shit when I tell you this was a lot of work to figure out, it's an understatement. I either forgot to render the left screen and flag, or it just didn't show up with the slots i injected into. Not really sure, but it was more work than I've done on any one so far lol.. Forgot the mat because I was on insomnia mode now I'm crashing lol.. Lights don't work yet, but I may add all the objects from the stage and just put it into one JPG like PS4. Road Wild 97.@LordJustice17, man your work with Hog Wild's stage was genius. I tried to mimmic it and replicate the 97 PPV as much as I could, but I just couldn't make the middle look like it was a bit more far back than the sides, or add the bridges that connect the 2. Plus I couldn't get a suitable background for the night look. I just used a photo of a BMX dirt course lol. I have a version without the light effects, It might look better, but I'll leave that up to you guys to decide when I mess around later. Def going to try and make Road Wild 98 and 99 look a lot better, which had concert like stages. Also, the rope idea. They're too dark right now, because I have to fix the normals and glow map to get more shine. I think it looks better without the braided looking ropes that WWE uses. 2 Quote
LordJustice17 Posted August 3, 2016 Posted August 3, 2016 @hovathagod32Looking good! As for creating the illusion of depth on flat texture objects I do it by essentially creating a shadow:1) Duplicate the "front" layers.2) Adjust the levels so the the bottom duplicates are solid black.3) Use a Gaussian blur filter.4) Duplicate the blurred black layers if necessary to darken the shadow. I put them on the wooden bars on each side of the middle section so the end squares pop but not as big much as the real deal. I can probably do it, but I felt this was good enough and that I was going to end up running out of space trying to angle them like the real thing. It may look better with the lights toned down. I think I have Souled Out 97, SuperBrawl VII, Slamboree and Spring Stampede left. I'm probably going to do 3 of those, saving SuperBrawl for later, then I'm going to try and go back to working on my Sting project, so I won't burn out. One thing I'm going to have to fix on a detail level is the crowd. Getting rid of those wolfpac shirts up until whatever PPV they started the wolfpac lol. I'll try some more stuff later today. I'm still plotting an arena to use for SuperBrawls... They might not end up working at an angle to reduce the headache of carefully moving everything, plus the lights probably won't move. We need to redo the ref to look like Nick Patrick tho Funny you mention that because I was watching that episode earlier today when Sting came from the helicopter. That would be ridiculous to try... I haven't even went back on fixing lighting and banners with Nitro. Moved on figuring out Souled Out 97, also finishing up my Starrcade scorpion. That maybe previewed tmrw if I work on it some more tonight. Quote

My plan when I get there is to add more black and white shirts, the Sting face tee and maybe even a few austin 3:16 tees that replace a lot of the pre 98 stuff. Here's a quick preview of Sting's Starrcade 97 attire WIP. I've been having some annoyance with the Souled Out 97 arena. Instead of moving on to other arenas, I decided to go back to working on Sting a bit. There's a few things I have to work on. The opacity of the scorpion is a bit too bright.. I want it to look more airbrush-like. The tail is wayyy off, didn't even want that to be seen lol. The hair, I like, but it needs to be shorter for this era. It looks black, but it's actually brown. Some arenas don't show the brown as much during entrance with this hair as others do. Fixing it is a little difficult because it either becomes too dark or too bright lol. I'll figure that out. Other than that, it's coming along nicely. This one will be easier to do and will come soon. I think I have to draw Uncensored 98's scorpion, Then its just certain paints. in the later eras. 5 Quote
4 Life Posted August 8, 2016 Posted August 8, 2016 Sting's looking great so far. Totally get the colouring thing and different arenas, like when I was making my Booker 00 attire I noticed the silver parts looked gold in some arenas lol.Hope you get the Souled Out arena working in time, still my favourite arena EVER (though I'm glad the nWo didn't end up branching out). I think it's good to switch to something different if you're getting frustrated with something, I swore when I started modding that I wasn't gonna have several different projects on the go and just concentrate on one thing until I've finished it, but that as I've found out is a sure-fire way to get bored! hovathagod32 Posted August 14, 2016 Author Posted August 14, 2016 My bad for the lack of updates. Dealing with recovery stuff (aka sleeping a lot due to meds lol) so my energy to actually mess around with this is low at times. Wanted to show my WIP with Spring Stampede 98 Sting as well as the WIP with nWo Souled Out '97 Sting:Sting is pretty much finished. I just have to touch the scorpions up, and make the hair a little shorter, mayyybe lighter. Next will be uhh Slamboree & Uncensored attires. When I finish Slamboree, I'll be able to release the 10th attire for Wolfpac Sting. SuperBrawl VIII is just a blank attire, which I'm hoping I could use 2K15's XB1/PS3 CAW outfit so I can keep the details you lose when you remove the scorpions from the normals. Souled Out '97I just wanted to see how my textures looked before going any further. I have to do a lot of things like fix the lights, figure out how to texture the stairs that are supposed to light up, clean up the floor screen textures and draw the header. My plan is to put this stage inside of Wrestlemania XIX or one of the Wrestlemania that has lighting that matches closely to the actual PPV.. So everything will be raised and put on a ramp... I'm starting to realize that I'm not going to do all 12 1997 arenas. Spring Stampede, Slamboree, SuperBrawl VII might not make the cut, but the 98 versions of those will be made. 3 Quote
Dennis-Bieser Posted August 14, 2016 Posted August 14, 2016 Perfect... i want this Spring Stampede Arena & Sting.!!!! really awesome. Quote
hovathagod32 Posted August 14, 2016 Author Posted August 14, 2016 Perfect... i want this Spring Stampede Arena & Sting.!!!! really awesome.that stampede arena is @LordJustice17's from MNW pack but I think I will add some modifications to it, mostly the stage lighting and the WCW/nWo logos in the mountains. Logo wise it's pretty perfect. Not much I can add to it other than minor farm details to the barn Quote
hovathagod32 Posted August 15, 2016 Author Posted August 15, 2016 Update:Fixed the nWo header I'm noticing a trend with with some of my left objects now showing up on the left side like they do on the right. Now it's just resizing the obj's (header to make it thinner) and add more nWo tvs. Going to try to put this on one of the wrestlemania ramps. 3 Quote

Hope you get better fast!!when you guys finish your mods that are WCW related, please do let me know. I will put them in my preview photos to go with the accuracy of the arena/time periods. I've been slacking a lot on downloads. I'm almost finished rendering Souled Out and putting it on a stage. hopefully I'll have previews of that later today or sometime this week depending on how I'm feeling. I really want to start doing some of the 98 era arenas. I'll probably try a few easy ones like Slamboree 98, Uncensored, and SuperBrawl VIII and go back to working on Crow Sting stuff. I have to finish drawing his scorpion for Uncensored, then I'll watch some later era stuff to see what paints to try for the 99-2000 eras Quote
