tekken57 Posted May 21, 2015 Posted May 21, 2015 If the textures are not in the texture archive, you can create a new texture archive using X-Packer. Quote
Gammah88 Posted May 21, 2015 Posted May 21, 2015 I like the WCW Nitro arena looks sick cannot wait til its 100% done. Quote
TheBleedingRed21 Posted May 21, 2015 Posted May 21, 2015 (edited) Question Nick or anyone who can answer, is there a source I can get the old arena files from? Or how would I go about getting them? Edit:: Found them. Never mind Edited May 21, 2015 by TheBleedingRed21 Quote
seanironmaiden Posted May 21, 2015 Posted May 21, 2015 Wow, what a breakthrough. just posted this in another thread but it would be interesting if you could take a piece of the video wall on the HD arena entrances and move it to the ring apron like the new LED ring aprons seen on NXT and now Raw and PPV. They could maybe be animated during the entrances but probably have to be static in matches ( cant remember if the video wall is animated during matches or not, I dont think so ) Quote
NickH049 Posted May 21, 2015 Author Posted May 21, 2015 If the textures are not in the texture archive, you can create a new texture archive using X-Packer. I had a go of creating a new texture archive though the game freezes when the arena is loading Quote
baken1942 Posted May 21, 2015 Posted May 21, 2015 Heres a quick shot of WCW Nitro. These are a long way off of a release there is alot of work to get these to work 100% ingame, there are alot of bugs to fix with the arenas. For everyone heres a quick tutorial on how to inject the objects into the pac. What i do is first open the arena i want to put in the game say the Fist arena or WCW. in Xpacker I Then uncompress the files using xpacker and put them in a folder called YOBJs. Then i rename each file that has been uncompressed to a .yobj file I open every file in 3DS MAX 2011, so you have all objects there infront of you. Then follow the exact same steps and open up the arena entrance folder that you want to import the objects into. Open up a new 3DS MAX windows so you have the old arena in one windows and the new arena in the other. Then inject the yobj files that you want to put into the game using xpacker by replacing yobjs that you want to replace with. Im not sure if there is any restrictions yet but if you find any let me know. Please note that some of the objects wont look correct ingame since the textures of the new objects are not in the texture archive of the ingame arena pac file. I still have to have a look at these files yet. If the quick tutorial was bit hard to understand it sounds probably sounds all over the shop, when have a chance i will update if for you all. This is so AWESOME! Great Work! Quote
Red Rooster Posted May 21, 2015 Posted May 21, 2015 If the textures are not in the texture archive, you can create a new texture archive using X-Packer. I had a go of creating a new texture archive though the game freezes when the arena is loading Yeah it never worked for me either Quote

Titavius Posted May 22, 2015 Posted May 22, 2015 (edited) hey Nick, thanks for sharing this find I tried this myself back when I first downloaded the game, and I too ran into issues with textures. it's a hurdle, but I'm sure it'll get figured out. the only other thing is lighting. on last gen, you could play around with light beams made up of physical objects, but it seems they've done away with those, probably because they don't look as good next to the newer high poly models. the lighting is rigged to a file in the Arena pac similar to last gen, and the physical objects that correspond to it should be in there too. you can manually hex their positions if you'd wanted to relocate them, but it's a time consuming process. there's tons of potential in terms of Arena modding, but I'm pretty sure there's a fair amount of bugs too. another couple of months and I should be back home and have the time throw myself into modding again. until then, I look forward to seeing what you come up with Edited May 22, 2015 by Titan83 Quote
