I enjoyed reading the process of you working on Sabu. It shows how much dedication and determination you put into your releases. It proves none of this is simple, and that you push through numerous problems to make it all work. Thank you for doing this for us, the modding community. It's much appreciated!

Thanks for Sabu, what was the solution to fix the crash problem on some arenas? I have a couple of old mods that need to fix that random crashes. Dennis told in his thread that the problem is that some jyob files need to be compressed and other uncompressed. 

Is this the correct way to solve that?

I extracted all the objects and injected into a 2k18 model. Resculpted the parts which I couldn't inject from the older model. 

Also sculpted a new 2k18 hair model and used a 2k18 Shdc file to inject all the files into. 

No idea what the exact fix was but that solved the problem for me. 

 

Even though the process is very time consuming, I am going to take that approach with the problematic mods I have at the moment.

I did noticed that, for some odd reason, some mods work with some yobjs compressed and others uncompressed. An example was a mod that had 1A and 1B yobjs but didnt work. I compressed one of them, in this case 1A into zlib and left the other uncompressed and it worked. Also did the trick in another mod. No idea what that is tho.

No problem man. I actually found that right at the beginning, a bit by luck but glad it's a solution. I guess we could make a "list" of past mods that had that issue confirmed.

Bad news bro, tested again and the mod that yesterday worked today is crashing at the loading screen match. That’s crazy!!!!

Wether the file is compressed or decompressed makes no difference to the game. 

 

The game decompresses all files into memory before loading it.

Tekken, i have injected all files from the 2k16 mod into a 2k18 shdc file and still get the random crashes. In my case the problem is caused by the file 1A.jboy

Any guide of the process to fix the random crashes ?

Put quite a bit of work into migrating Steiner to 2k18 models. Also edited the chainmail shader params. Hopefully this fixes the crashes users were experiencing.Let me know if you guys still experience crashes with Steiner. I haven't created any of the alt attires in the new format, if anyone wants to assist in this regard, it will be appreciated.

Thank you very much for that, I for one appreciate your hard work into creating him for 2k18. As and when 2k18+ is back up I shall certainly add him into my game. Many thanks again.
