Data Editor for WWE 2k17
Data Editor for WWE 2k17 is designed to work in tandem with Custom Character Tools 2017 to make modding easier and more accessible for everyone

Note: The Data Editor for WWE 2k17 is considered EOL and thus no longer being actively developed, updated, maintained or supported (feel free to keep using the last version at your own risk) as the developer' is focusing his resource to continue his work with the Data Editor for WWE 2k18.

Latest version: 2017.0.3.5.1 Beta | Synopsis: A program for WWE 2k17 on the PC that features a GUI, allows users to easily edit, create and save .pofo, .moveset, .team_info and .attire_names files and install them into the game with the help of Custom Character Tools 2017 (make sure to download and install CCT as well!) unlocking alternate attires for wrestlers and changing attire names, applying a workaround to enable winning music for all attires of a wrestler, announcer settings and more.
The current release is a public beta release and some functions may not work as intended and require more testing. Please try it out and leave your feedback, especially if something doesn't work, but also let me know what works well and what you like. The Readme file includes more detailed information. This Tool only works properly with the official Steam version 1.06 with Patch 1.01 (Hall of Fame Showcase DLC Update) of WWE 2k17.

Please follow this thread so you get updates whenever a new version is released. Please always download, install and use the latest version of the tool, as many bugs and issues that may have been in previous versions may be fixed and additional features available. You can always find the latest verion here or via the built-in Updater.

Thank you for this.

I think maybe there's something wrong with Triple H. When you select him, you get this choise of attires

ORIGINAL
Attire 3
Attire 4

Etc.

It misses Attire 2. Idk if this is something than could create problem in future or nothing important, it's just to point it out.

Thank you for your report. It's a hidden attire that is hard-locked away in some odd way (or maybe it's a bug with the game, but I doubt 2k would fix it due to it being relevant to modders), similar to what we had with Kevin Nash in WWE 2k15 (WWE 2k16 didn't have that problem with any wrestlers, AFAIR). A couple of other wrestlers seem to exhbitit that problem in WWE 2k17 as well (although there are some with hidden attires, like Samoa Joe, that don't loose an attire slot due to it and have the hidden attire accessible normally). I haven't found a way to change that so far, nor was I able to do so in 2k15 so I wouldn't hold my breath on it. But maybe we'll have some new findings in the future.

Thanks for the alternate attire unlocker, looking forward to the data editor!

AWESOME :D

Question though - how do we reassign attire/slot numbers with 2K17 via hex now? The internal hex is totally different to 2K16. We used to of course be able to just open it, change "00017702" to something like "00017712" to make it the second attire, but I'm clueless how to do the same thing with 2K17.

There has got to be a way to unlock more CAS slots. They have A-Z banks in CAS and a good bit is not being used. Those empty slots has to have some value just to be there.

Right now everyone is injecting into 2k16 PAC files to be able to change slots.

Couldn't load this. Hopefully we'll have Data editor like last year which will include the same thing too.

Do the 2K16 PACs work with 2K17 straight off then, or am I totally misunderstanding here :lol

They do, unless they have multiple added objects. For instance if you have a mod with knee pads, Jacket, Shirt all added outside of the 0000 it probably will crash. Least until we figure out a way to inject those parts this go around.

Ahhh, ok, cool :) Yeah I knew that stuff, but for some reason I was under the impression that you would have had to inject a PACH into a 2K17 pac since they're different headers :lol I've noticed that there are different file numbers in the 2K17 files like 0100, 560F, might have to have a dig when the new version of X-Rey is out and see what those are all about as we might need to inject new objects into those instead? Just a guess tbh.

I cannot download the file since it says 404. (I did want for the String pac really, since I'm patient enough to wait for the tools to come out)

Not sure what's happening on your end, the download works just fine for me. Try disabling your adblocker or try a different browser to see if it helps.

It worked. this time one stupid ad of ad.fly didn't open and it worked :) So now I can just use the hex editor and rename things in the pac like last year?

And I'm sorry to ask something else , but I'd like to know before doing anything to it. That String.pac file... If I edit it, do I have to reconvert it or just copy and paste and it would work?
