when you guys finish your mods that are WCW related, please do let me know. I will put them in my preview photos to go with the accuracy of the arena/time periods. I've been slacking a lot on downloads. I'm almost finished rendering Souled Out and putting it on a stage. hopefully I'll have previews of that later today or sometime this week depending on how I'm feeling. I really want to start doing some of the 98 era arenas. I'll probably try a few easy ones like Slamboree 98, Uncensored, and SuperBrawl VIII and go back to working on Crow Sting stuff. I have to finish drawing his scorpion for Uncensored, then I'll watch some later era stuff to see what paints to try for the 99-2000 eras

Hey man - Hows this for your Wolfpac sting render? I have sizes A / B & C all upscaled and flourished. its so hard to find a workable wolfpack sting image.

Dope, man. I was thinking about using that. I had PNGs for it, because idk if I mentioned in this thread, Sting didn't really do promotional photos during his Wolfpac days so a lot of his stuff were just Crow promo photos painted over Red. So my plan was do do exactly that, going with one of the Starrcade or early 98 promo pics, like WCW actually did with the shirts, posters, and other merch during that time. 

I just think that particular image needs some color correcting and contrasting work so that it doesn't look faded compared to the in-game ones. Other than that it's a perfect fit, man. There used to be a plugin for photoshop that would do it for you.. I think it's called Topaz.. We used to use it to create Madden covers, giving our cutouts that Madden 11-12 dramatic look. I probably still have it around somewhere. I could update it and make it pop a lil more for you later on, if you can't find the plugin.

Nice Well I've got some pretty flat-looking renders that I couldn't seem to improve so hopefully I can rework them.

EDIT: Photo Pop setting works awesome Sneaky bastards though... "download our "free" bundle!" then you go to apply the setting and "Oh btw, you need to register for a 30 day trial or buy the software!" Wasn't exactly difficult to find a serial key though

but to stay on topic with this thread. I'm trying to figure out what arena to put souled out into. I need something with a ramp. I'm going to try WM17's just for the lighting. for some reason I'm just being so lazy, and unwilling to try lol.. I'll try to get a preview out later on today

I really think that with all these arenas we'll need to have in the pack a WCW Nitro without the Logo in the ring...Seriously, it'll be amazing to have those arenas. I just cannot wait.

I stilll have to try adding lights to the nitro stage. If I can find some that work, ok, even if a spotlight is brighter, it would be an upgrade. There's a few things I need to fix with Nitro before I do a 96-97 version. Change the banner logos, and I have to fix my floor mat. I really want to redraw it, to make it look a lot less repetitious. It's really a fight vs me and my medication right now lol. I was working on finishing Souled Out earlier, but my meds had me knocked out on the recliner with a dead macbook in my lap  Working on it now until I pass out again.. Trying to get WM17's ramp to inject all my files into. Hopefully it works out the way I hope. Maybe be able to add motorcycles and etc.

Don't know the health issue you've got (Been there myself not too long ago) but you sure got dedication. Thanks for the hard work.

Check out the prop files, there are several motorcycles there that you could probably extract and inject into the entrance pac (#s 2540, 2894, and 6031).

The ringmat can be changed easily. Just edit the misc file and change the ringmat value for that particular arena. No modding experience necessary.

I'll look into those. Going to try to set up the stage in a few. Hopefully the new OBJ's I made will show up. We'll see later tonight

didn't bother messing around with misc files, certain things just didn't show up for this pac. the small tvs on the side of the tall ones, the upper stairs texture, the header, the left screen is mirrored. the lights could work if they weren't so far away.... i think i'm just going to take a break on souled out because it's starting to annoy me lol.. I'll try an NXT type stage tmrw.

 

EDIT:

after editing the misc file.. I noticed that the ringmat, turnbuckles, barricades, stadium, and ceiling light won't change no matter what you set them to. the New world Order apron works. Strange. Giving up tonight. I'll try another arena later

everything else is being stubborn (crowd, barricade, turnbuckles, stadium, ceiling lights). Extracting Now Way Out to see if that arena works better.

So, due to the annoyance of trying to figure out Souled Out, I went and started working on other arenas. Slamboree '98. Haven't done the ring yet because that's the easy part. I'm just trying to figure out how to control the ramp lights. If I can fix them to go to that lime-ish/yellow color, I'll change the stage color to match like I did on consoles:

Just realised.... I'm watching Slamboree atm (this thread made me want to LOL) - the attire that Bret wore during his match here is one I've not seen anywhere else I don't think. Gonna have to make it and re-release the attire pack!

yeah it's white in one of the parts that are pink on the lining. I noticed it too, but I wasn't sure if you had one in here because i have yet to name any attires

Yeah it's a cross between all three attires I made, got elements of all of them. Gonna repack the collection shortly, since I released them in chronological order and Slamboree came first, the other three attires will be shifted one attire along.

Have you figured out which arenas are gonna go where?  I’m not sure what’s possible with arenas.  Can you just put them anywhere like modded wrestlers - or do you need to put them in specific spots?  I was thinking about it and if you can put them anywhere, two ways to organize them that would work well with the game would be:

If you match them up by ppv theme, in Universe mode they'll match up with their specialty type, like:

World War 3 - Royal Rumble

Hell in a Cell - Fall Brawl (Wargames)

Summerslam - Bash at the Beach

Or if you match them up by calendar month, they'll be scheduled correctly in Universe mode

Jan - Royal Rumble - Souled Out

Feb - Elimination Chamber - SuperBrawl

Mar - Wrestlemania - Uncensored

Just curious about this because if I know which arenas are going where...I can work on nameplate graphics

i had a list, but i'm not really sure yet because of the # of arenas I'll be doing.. It's kinda changed up.. I'm not really a planner, i'm just a do'er lol..  I've just been working on arenas at random and seeing what works and what doesn't. I would like to put them in some type of chronological order on the menu, but i'm really not sure how to do that yet.. like if it HAS to be done by arenainfo#'s. I'm not sure it does because looking at the arena numbers smackdown is first, then raw, NXT, superstars, then payback. idk if that's the order of the regular game.. but I'll figure it out once I have a true idea of all the arenas I plan on doing.

Do you have one for Thunder? I'll likely put my version of Thunder on the first arena that has a flat surface which I think is Payback..Hopefully it doesn't have red crowd lighting because I still haven't figured out how to change that. I had a logo somewhere I made for Create-A-Show for the Consoles.. I can probably work for the later eras.. 99-2000

Cool!  I have a first pass version of Slamboree '98 that is looking pretty decent.  I'll try Thunder over Payback next.  If you have a good Thunder logo that would be awesome.  Which year are you going for?  Not sure if I'll be able to do the lightning effects, but I can probably do a good background for '98 or '99 if I find clean source footage.

Trouble with them is that some .bk2 files have a larger vertical resolution than others (like Summerslam).  One of the files in the pach I *think* controls the display settings (dimensions, duration, font, etc) - but I have no idea how to edit it.  Right now if I inject a pach to a different arena the game freezes sometimes (hit or miss) - so I have to basically tailor the graphics to the arena setup.
