if you install this mod and then just add the kevin nash pac it should do it for you, You just need to change the names of the attires.

This is correct. I meant for other attires, you'll need to hex or use xpacker.

I'm gonna release my misc with my conversion mod shortly either tonight or tomorrow and it'll include all this but will have correct naming instead of wrestlemania 2-9. You can include it as an option if you want Cave.

Thank you for the kind offer. However, the idea of the mod is that it's universal so it works well enough for different mods of the same wrestler as well. Thus if I added the proper names for Tekken's Kevin Nash mod, but if somebody might prefer to use user XY's hypothetical Kevin Nash mod that has different alternate attires instead, the attire names wouldn't match up anymore, and thus I'd have to include an optional version for this mod and that mod, etc.. I don't think it's feasible to do that for me (especially since I can't do it myself), and I don't want to update the mod specifically for every single mod out there.

Thus it's better to have just universal names for all attires (I'd like to see WRESTLEMANIA 1-10 names to be changed to Attire 1-10 instead, which beastedot9 is trying to do for me).

Creators of mods such as yourself and your nice conversion mod may of course freely use the Universal Alternate Attires mod as a template and change the Strings to match their mod, change attire names to be less generic, etc. and include it with their mods, of course. :)

It's super super easy to change it to attire 1-10 if you want me to. I just can't stand genetic names is why I change it lol.

The idea is great tho. Lemme know if u want me to change it.

Just keep in mind, anyone that wants to use my mod cannot use this mod.

Unfortunately, even with his permission, I will not be including it in my mod simply because I like to have named attires. I would gladly allow him to use my arena misc with his and offer it as a download that works with my mod (he could PM me and I can give him instructions on how to make mine work with his misc). Hate for you guys to miss out on either mod!

A Simple fix but looks great.

Would love if someone would add the 10 Attire names for the Nash mod.

Seems as though my game crashes whenever I try to use a superstar with an alternate attire that I made before installing the mod. Is there a way to keep the alternate attires that I personally made usable whilst keeping this mod active so that I can use the dope Kevin Nash and Sting mods?

That's odd. Are you talking about alternate attires created via in-game creation suite or modded ones? Alternate attires made in the in-game creation suite before the mod work fine for me, for example.

If it's your own mods, did you perhaps do anything different to create the alternate attires than the other users that released their mods here did?

They weren't mods they were just alternate attires (for example Wade Barrett's King Barrett attire, Macho Man's NWO attire, little updates like that).

 

I'm trying to go into the Hex to find Macho Man and Barrett to see if I just maybe need to turn off their alternate attires specifically.

 

The only hack I did was the one that allows you to edit the superstar heads and Sid Vicious hack. I'll try some things and get back to you to see if I can find what the issue is.

Found the issue and found a workaround. The issue is that if a guy had a created alt attire before installing the mod it would freeze. The solution I did was go into the Hex editor and find the superstar's attire info. Then I lessened the amount of unlocked attires they had from 10 to something like 5.

 

That worked fine.

 

ps: Some guys didn't freeze that had alts like Roman Reigns and Kane '11.

Hm, odd. I assumed the CAW alternate attires took a separate slot (since they did for me - then again, I only have one CAW alternate attire installed per wrestler tops). Looks like there is a total limit for that for some wrestlers as well, though.

Yea that's what I think. I had about 35 alt attires/caws in my game. It stopped freezing though when I hexed out the 10 attires for about 5 wrestlers that I never use though. So I think the caw alt attires are added onto the total attire limit

maybe you can help me.   i hope i explain clearly what i'm trying to do,  this is all pretty new to me.   i tried out your mod but having 10 outfits for everyone isn't really needed for me at this point in time...  what i'd like to do is be able to use,  for example,  a multi-attire sting mod.  right now i have it working properly,  but i had to replace bobby heenan's section in the misc_start_dlc60.pac.  this isn't really a big deal to me,  but what i'd really like to do is be able to add sting's stuff without replacing anybody.  i thought i'd be able to increse the number at the beginning of the COS->HID section that says how many characters have alt attires by 1,  and then copy sting's section in,    but doing so changed the file size and resulted in the game crashing.  

 

is this possible with only HxD?  if so,  could you explain how as if i were a total moron?

I did not.  I was under the impression that since the DLC dropped, the only one that mattered was in DLC60.   I'll try that now.

Both have to be updated (as far as I know).
