Quick question. I hadn't repurchased since I bought my new computer.

Is Windows 8 still unsupported for X-Packer/X-Rey/3DS Max?

Is Windows 8 still unsupported for X-Packer/X-Rey/3DS Max?

Im using windows 8.1 and all 3 are working fine.

Thanks. That helps influence things positively.

What version of 3DS Max are you using? The one I downloaded gave me all sorts of weird results.

Concerning X-Rey: What would be the best strategy to remove things like the vest from Rollins so that you can only see his normal upper body? Replacing the vest with a smaller object? Remeshing the vest to the form of the upper body?

Advice is much appreciated =)

Can I use the previous tutorial on adding more than one alternate attire in the PC version with the current version of X-packer?

Also, it won't overwrite any superstars if I add them right?

@prinsto, with the ps3 models we used to make the unwated object very small and hide it inside the body. Give that a try, not sure if it will work with the new rigging system the models use. Let use know you results.

@beastdot9, yes the alt attires tut is the same except that you don't need to worry about the arc files part.

Thanks guys for the 000 file trick

Tekken.. i read your MISC01 Tutorial for adding Alternate Attires

My Question is.

in Xpacker- how do i add new Superstar Slots. I have currently used HBK's Alternate Attire Slot for Sting, but i would rather add new slots than replacing existing ones

Do i have to hex edit the thing first?

Did i miss something?

I'm having a bit of an issue with the tutorial. I go to the misc editor for the attires. But in the list, not all ch numbers are present. Gives me a list of 20 superstars at the most.

Thats because only 20 wrestlers in the game have alt attires, if you want to increase this you will need to edit the file in Hex.

I have written a tutorial about it

I have not attempted it myself but it is exactly the same as in previous years so I see no reason why it wont be possible.

Unfortunately it didn't turn out that well. Apparently because of the rigging system as you said:

Thank you for this! Makes sense now.

A couple of users has contacted me with some errors encountered with some of the pac files. There are two issues thus far and I am looking into the cause of the problem, coding support for these files as we speak. An update should be released early next week. The issues are:

1. Some of the 000A files are not uncompressing correctly. e.g. Dean Ambrose. I took a look and the issue is with the way the files are compressed. They are compressed in chunks which require the file to be decompressed individually. I'm coding a function which will do this. For now if you need to work with these archives do the following:

Click the extract button for the affected file in X-Packer e.g. 000A.

You will have a zlib file.

Open the zlib file in a hex editor and delete the first 16 bytes.

Then under the utilities click the decompress button.

2. Some of the pac files are not reading under any of the options e.g. Arena and belts files. I've taken a look at these and these are pac files containing directories. The format is different, so I need to code a function for this.

I'll be coding and testing over the weekend.

@prinsto, some of the tests I've ran also produce the same result. I was thinking that maybe the game has a collision detection code which detects if objects clip into each other, the other objcet becomes transparent. can't be sure of this, so maybe make the vest very small and move it away from the body. See what happens.

@bannockburn, the compression issue is only with some 000A files. If you can open the texture archive in X-Packer, the compression is not the issue with your textures.

If you've donated toward X-Packer 10, then you should have received an email. If not send me a pm with your email used to donate.

Just sent off the money for X-Packer. Woo.

Be careful when modding! The second face texture is used as an overlay and is shown on certain camera angles, which means more editing!

Looks like I'm going to have to bite the bullet and buy xpacker Seen as the tool I was using is now dead..

Got XPacker a few days ago and loving it so far, great work on this.

Also I noticed a bug in the 64Bit version, when I open a PAC file and try to rename the PACH files in it, the Pac file gets broken.

Only way to work around is to open the pac into a Hexeditor and rename the PACH numbers there before opening the PAC in XPacker.

2nd Edit:

Also the names for alt attires are not available when you edit the misc01_Start.pac

When you edit it in Xpacker and save it, all regular alt attires that you didn't change, end up being called "RAW" that way.

Whats up tekken i sent u a donation for x-packer figure it was time to update and start working on some 2k15 mods

Posted

@scratcher, thanks for pointing those issues out. I'll take a look at the renaming function. About the misc editor, I can't recall if I added all the values for the 2k15 names, not many people requested the misc functionality for 2k15 on the xbox. I'll look into it. If you tell me which names are not showing up or causing issues, it would be appreciated.

@deka_night, draven and thebirdsolution, thanks much appreciated.
