As you see there are some superstars who seem to have double themes, like Undertaker and DX. Last year there were only 3 different version of entrance theme that belong to one superstar: Heel, Face and Normal version. This year some have like 5 version of entrance themes like 2 x entrance theme (Normal), entrance theme (Heel) and entrance theme (Face). Sometimes a superstar dooesn't have a face/dirty version of his entrance theme. Indeed very confusing. Edited November 28, 2007 by freezer250 Quote
Nergal Posted November 28, 2007 Posted November 28, 2007 Nice work mate , btw, I found the following tracklist of the SVR2008 soundtrack. I think the internal background music uses the same songs: Nonpoint - Everybody down Puddle of Mudd - Famous 8Ball&MJG - Stand Up AM Conspiracy - Welt AM Conspiracy - Right on Time Project 86 - Evil (A Chorus of Resistance) Project 86 - Put your lips to the TV Sevendust - Driven Sevendust - Feed Chevelle - Well Enough Alone Nobody Famous - Go Hard Hellyeah - You Wouldn Quote

When you loaded the music.yaf file with the yaf_extractor, did you see a tree(list) with a lot of files named music_0000.yaf, music_0001.yaf .... inside the window of the tool? 2.) If yes, when you pushed the "Extract All" button, was there a popup with a warning? 3.) If yes, what warning was displayed? I just worked everything out, replaced the files properly etc. I tried the "Xpert" software to rebuild the ISO and burned the ISO onto a CD with DVD Descriptor. Loads, but doesn Quote

Nergal Posted November 29, 2007 Posted November 29, 2007 the following warnings occured file not found in archive Hmm, are you sure you pressed the "Extract" button and not the "Replace" button? And do you see the list of tracks (see my 1st question in the previous post)? ~Nergal Quote
jarni Posted November 29, 2007 Posted November 29, 2007 no you cant see any files and also to cant click on extract. but when you open a yaf files the button replace is avaviable but does do anything just click here to see http://img2.freeimagehosting.net/uploads/bc5ff9f3f3.jpg Quote
freezer250 Posted November 29, 2007 Posted November 29, 2007 (edited) Ok I built a modified version of SvR08 using adx files I created for SvR07, that means version3 and 48000HZ. I only chose to replace the background music for my first try. Replacement loading, and replacing the files worked for me with Nergals tool, though not all of my adx files got imported. I assume that's because of the size of my files (One adx file contains 3-5songs that I put together wit Audacity). Anyway, good news is that the game loaded just fine, no hang ups whatsoever. I checked the music files in create an entrance mode and all my imported files worked. Unfortunately the music just ends after a few minutes and then there's silence. That may be because of the wrong settings I used (48000 instead of 24000). Edited November 29, 2007 by freezer250 Quote

So the tool can't find any standard ADX/AHX files inside the archvie. The "Replace" button shouldn't be enabled at this stage, this is a bug . In the image you posted I could see, that the MUSIC.YAF file is only 122 mb while the ps2 file is around 560 mb. I don't have a psp, so I don't know how the audio files are stored for the psp version. I've you are able to chop the first 5-10 mb of the file and upload the chunk to rapidshare, I could have a look at the format. The files that didn't get imported by the tool should have been marked red in the list, can you confirm this? Can you tell me which file stopped playing (e.g. MUSCI_0012.adx) and which length & size your replacement file had. You can see this information in the yaf_extractor tool. ~Nergal Quote

I will also try to replace some strings like Songnames in SvR08 with a hexditor. Will see how this one turns out :tired Quote
Terrster Posted November 30, 2007 Posted November 30, 2007 (edited) I did the whole changing WAV files to ADX method and used the tool to replace the ADX file with my own. I used the Xpert tool (iunno why but, I had to open and close the program everytime I used a different method) to Extract the files & LBA, then I took my edited version of Music.YAF and replaced it with the one I had extracted from the original ISO. Went back into Xpert and rebuilt the ISO's Files and the LBA patch which I asume puts the files I had extracted back into an ISO. Burned the ISO onto a disk with ISO Descrypter and it never worked. The Sample Rate I changed the WAV files to was 24000HZ. Also I have a modchip, any suggestions? Edited November 30, 2007 by Terrster Quote

Nergal Posted November 30, 2007 Posted November 30, 2007 In freezer250's audio editing manual for SVR2007 was mentioned, that it is important to keep Xpert open all the time. Maybe the restarting of Xpert made the rebuilded ISO invalid? Concerning media: My ps2 (it's an old, chubby one) only plays DVD-R media. BUT, with a simple trick it plays all media, DVD+R, DVD-R, DVD+RW, DVD-RW ... In DVD Decryptor you can select the "Book Type" when burning a media. When you set it to DVD-ROM the resulting media is compatible to a lot more devices, including the ps2. I made all my tests with a very old DVD+RW disc and it plays really fine. ~Nergal Quote

My Pioneer DVD-Burner supports bookmarking DVD+R automatically thanks to the hacked firmware I use, so this is what I use all the time. But I will give DVDDecrypter a try Btw, I just checked the time of how long the adx files play until they mute and I found out that after around 2:09min every adx file stops. I tested it a couple of times and received same result over and over. My songs muting after 2:09min. Very strange :2 Now I will try to use the "perfect" setting (24000Hz) and see how that works. freezer250 Posted December 1, 2007 Posted December 1, 2007 (edited) if any1 could help me with doing this to my PSP it would be greatly appreacited This is what Nergal answered earlier in this thread .. I don't have a psp, so I don't know how the audio files are stored for the psp version. At the moment the tool doesn't work with the PSP version of the game cause psp seems to have a different file format. So if you want help, it would be nice to help Nergal a bit by simply upload the Music.yaf which you can find in the SOUND folder of your SvR08disc to a filehoster like Mediafire, Rapidshare etc. In case you don't know how to do it, here's a quick step by step guide: 1. Download and install 7-zip 2. Start 7-zip and browse to your Music.yaf of your SvR08 disc, so it appears in the windows below. 3. Now click on the Music.yaf and click on "Add" (green cross) afterwards. 4. In the next window leave everything as it is except write "99M" under where it says "Split to volumes, bytes:". Then click "ok". Now the archive will be created which can take a while. Eventuelly it will get splitted into 2 parts if it's bigger than 100M. 5. Upload the created 7zip files of your Music.yaf to a filehoster like Mediafire or zShare and post the downloadlink(s) here so Nergal can take a look (if he wants to^^).
