WCWSTAN Posted January 22, 2019 Posted January 22, 2019 Hi, Is it possible to port the old killswitch finisher from the top of the ladder? I like to play as Christian but I can't use his finisher from the ladder like I used to.

Hi, The old killswitch ladder finisher wouldn't work in 2k19 as the present ladder finishers are all new reanimations which were done when implementing the new ladder gameplay mechanics. Sadly the Killswitch and the Ladder chokeslam were not reanimated and the old motion data doesn't work in 2k18 and 2k19 as they altered the position of the ladder. They replaced both moves with a ladder bulldog and sunset flip powerbomb which are both not used in the game, though the animation files are in the pac files.

Hi, Is it different from the 2k19 version ? It will be possible to port the move over since it’s a standing grapple. The only thing is both variations might probably be sharing the same ID, which means it will need to be assigned a different ID for an unused slot and the mat impact sound will be lost since the sound for each move is linked to its ID, and also if the developers retained the sound data in the game files after removing the animation. i will have a quick look and let you know.

Luckily it's on a different ID. that's the Gail Kim version. The dev's did not remove the motion files but have not used them in the game. I will post an update later today with the added move.

Some of the move names have been applied to other versions of the moves but the animations are different. Punch 4 - Close Range Strike Double Ax Handle 8 - Standing Strong Strike Knife Edge Chop 2 - Standing Strong Strike Backbreaker Drop 1 - Grapple Backbreaker Drop 6 - Grapple DDT 1 - Grapple Suplex 3 - Grapple Forearm Punch (Ultimate Warrior 2k15) - Did you say the removed the sound for this? If not, any way to get it back? Hi, The Punch 4 was in 2k18, but there is a bit of a glitch in 2k19. I Think the old double axe handle 8 is now renamed as one of the others. DDT 1, Backbreaker drop 1 Suplex 3 were in 2k18 but removed. Backbreaker drop 6 used to be backbreaker drop 1 in 2k15. Some of its data is in the pac files but there is a glitch with the animation. The Forearm Punch (2k15) has not been replaced , but it's mat sound data has been removed. The old sound data isn't working in subsequent games as the data structure for the impact sound changes with every release. I will check out the Knife Edge Chop 2 later in the day.

Is it possible to unlock them so we can select ingame? Thanks Hi, The moves with the word Hidden next to them are moves which were in 2k18 and are not indexed for selection in 2k19. The motion files for these moves were not removed by the developers. With this , selecting the moves in Data editor will add it to the moveset file. The game will read the ID so it can be used in gameplay. To unlock the moves, listings will have to be created for each move in the createmode.pac so they are selectable in-game. edit : I have previously added some of the moves listed as hidden to the createmode.pac file , so they are selectable ingame. Is it possible (not strictly for you, but for anyone) to add more moves to the list of ones that can be done on top of the car? Currently there are very few car finishers and was hoping to change that. Second, is there anyway to enable normal grapples on top of the car? When two people stand on top of the limo in the backstage area the only grapples that work are basic punches and wear down moves. Thanks, WCWSTAN

The old motion can only be placed in an unused slot, but the mat impact sound will not work. There are separate motions for moves which are performed on top of the car and in certain areas, even though the animation is the same. Each move animation takes into account the geometry of the space it is performed, taking into account the ring ropes position, floor or ground space, flat or sloped surface, elevation above floor level etc. The dev's have set certain parameters in place where certain moves will not show up in certain categories , even if you assign both moves the same data in the createmode.pac file. Probably the only way will be to add them to the moveset in data editor, but they will still glitch as the top of the car isn't wide enough for such moves to be executed properly.. 1 1

Hi, The moonsault at the end of the animation isn’t a separate segment, it’s all one animation so it can’t be replaced.

I've been able to port both moves. Will just need to test them in-game to ensure they work properly. One thing I noticed is the 2k19 float over DDT 1 is quite similar. The 2k15 float over DDT 1 is a different animation but it's been replaced with the present one. 1

XfallofparadiseX Posted January 25, 2019 Posted January 25, 2019 (edited) Awesome additions... I'm having an issue with the Gorilla Press/Ultimate Splash though. The animation freezes right before it starts. Something right after this may have caused this green circle to appear when previewing moves in the Move Edit. I reset the game and it disappeared so all is fine there now. EDIT- It seems to work when selected as a Finisher or Signature though, just not as a standard strong front grapple. The Gorilla press/ Ultimate Splash is only working as a signature or finisher due to the comeback prompt which displays. I will have to edit the createmode.pac file so it is no more selectable as a standing grapple. The other combo move works fine. 1

The commentary data is stored in the sound.pac file located in the pac/audio folder. This is still experimental at the moment. I have modified the sound p_30.pac file adding a few bytes into the commentary data for moves removed from the game since their call names will be generic, especially when moved to new slots. Please find a download link below for the modified file which you will need to place in the pac/audio folder.
