any tips on how install this ? im trying to follow the video but im having difficulties with finding the wwise directory theres no authoring

Posted (edited)

The video is obsolete. I need a newer version, especially for SE 2018. It's the old video from SE 2017. I have removed it from the first post, because it is a bit confusing.  You now need the Wwise main directory. Just select the path to the main directory, something like  Audiokinetic\Wwise 2017 ... and nothing more.

On first start SE 2018 asks you if you would like to install Wwise 2017. Have you confirmed that dialog with "yes"? What path have you selected?

i uptade now my wwise version i using 2014 ..

You need Wwise 2017, which comes with SE 2018. 2014, 2015 and 2016 does not work with 2K18!

I have been following your work for quite some time, and I must say I am very impressed with your work and what you've done for this community.

Can't thank you enough for your time and effort!

I specifically created an account to thank you, good sir.

Has anyone(or is anyone) going to make a proper tutorial for this year's SE?

I hope that anyone will make a tutorial for SE 2018. The reason why I don't make a video tutorial is that English isn't my native language and it is hard to explain something without the "right" words. I would prefer if anyone would make a tutorial who's native language is English. I think that would be clearer and easier to follow.

Did you try to close and open SE again? Is it still empty? The problem right now is that SE only initializes the files on start.

I'm getting the same error that Skullnex was getting.

I have Wwise 2017.1.2.6361

It says my Wise path isn't valid or I have the wrong version.

Just so I have this correctly, the proper path would be:

/Audiokinetic/Wwise 2017.1.2.631/Authoring/x64/Release/bin ?

That was the right path for all previous SE versions. For 2018 you only have to set the main directory, so the path now is just ..\Audiokinetic\Wwise 2017.1.2.631 without Authoring\x64[...]
