ahunter8056 Posted December 21, 2017 Posted December 21, 2017 (edited) Hi. First of all, I'd like to thank you for making your tools over the years. I found both SE and CCT extremely helpful in 2K16 and 2K17, and I'm finding SE 2018 very helpful too. However, I seem to have encountered a bug with Sound Editor 2018. I can't convert MP3 files to WEM using the Sound Converter whenever the "Apply track gain" box is ticked. I've tried multiple files, and every time I try with the box ticked, the program gets stuck in a perpetual state of conversion and nothing happens. The only way to close it is to kill the process in task manager. The conversion works when I untick the box, but does not work when the box is ticked, which seems rather odd. Edit: I found a way around this problem. It seems that regardless of whether track gain is ticked or not, files simply won't convert the first time round. When it gets stuck, I simply browse to the file again, click "Convert" again, and it'll work. Seems odd, but I can work with it. Edited December 21, 2017 by ahunter8056 Fix found Quote

JDB Posted December 24, 2017 Posted December 24, 2017 Any chance I could get into the CCT 2018 closed beta in the near future? I can provide feedback. Love your tools, you're a legend. Quote
amazing-maze Posted December 25, 2017 Posted December 25, 2017 Ok about the CCT? Is it still being developed? Do we have to pay for it...if so please DM me the details. I'm always missing news because ive been so busy. Thanks Quote

CCT is still in closed beta status. @Cave Waverider has found two more bugs that I still need to fix, but I am currently working on another tool, so it has become so quiet the last few days. But that will change very soon, do not worry :). 2 1 Quote
ADRI45 Posted December 25, 2017 Posted December 25, 2017 I seem to have a problem. I wanted to change my menu soundtracks so I opened game_mode_m.pck, initially I played them first but what plays is corey graves and michael cole commentary. I thought this was just a bug so i tried replacing them anyways however in game, none of the menu soundtracks i replaced work. wrestler themes work fine though. Quote

You are using the commentary audio files. You have to choose the (sfx) tab to the left, there's where the menu tracks are. 1 Quote

TheVisitorX Posted December 26, 2017 Author Posted December 26, 2017 Sound Editor 1.0.3 has been released in the main post! This update isn't essential. It has no new features. I have just removed the "Sound-ID helper" tool because it isn't working with update 1.06 and I can't find a way to make it work with that update :(. I have also removed the sfx patch from SE, because it is annoying. I try to find another way to apply that fix. 1 Quote
jraymond Posted December 26, 2017 Posted December 26, 2017 Just wanted to say thanks. Replacing entrance music and the menu soundtracks worked flawlessly for me on Win7 64bit. I love that we can see the filename of the replacement track listed after injecting so we can keep track. Awesome tool! Quote
TheVisitorX Posted December 27, 2017 Author Posted December 27, 2017 (edited) I think it's time to announce a new tool that I am currently working on and that will be available (not so) soon! Keep your eyes open, people! Do you know what it is (or could be)? More screenshots, soon. But let's talk about today... I hope it's okay to announce that CCT will be (if nothing happens) available as open beta later this week in tandem with the brand new Data Editor by @Cave Waverider. I'm still adding new features, like the new CH-PAC file installer, which is now able to convert HSPC CH-PAC files to EPK8, which was a suggestion by @Cave Waverider. Penny Posted December 27, 2017 Posted December 27, 2017 (edited) I see that the description of the program says that there was a fix for the 2-second loop of the menu themes, but it is happening to me. And there is no leads on any comments in here showing what that fix would be... Any leads? Edited December 27, 2017 by Penny Quote
TheVisitorX Posted December 27, 2017 Author Posted December 27, 2017 (edited) The fix was removed in the current SE release. There is no ETA for another tool which applies this fix and I will not publish any tutorial or something how to apply this mod manually. Not because I don't want it or want to annoy anyone, but because otherwise this gap may somehow be closed. Yukes will have his reasons to stop this. And you do not have to write such big, I would have answered you anyway ;). Edited December 27, 2017 by TheVisitorX Quote

But that is an essential feature from this type of tool. It keeps your game folder clean, because it installs all files to a separate directory (except for sounds and titantrons) and just tell the game to load from that directory, while it also tries to remove possible duplicates. The big advantage is a clean game and that you can uninstall and install mods whenever you like. For example you could use several profiles with mods, like a WCW profile and an oldschool WWF profile. Both with separate pofos, movesets and other files like arenas. Edited December 29, 2017 by TheVisitorX Quote

No, it does not touch any of the game files (except for Chunk0.def file), just adds the mod in a separate directory and tells the game that it should use this directory for your mods. With the advantage that you always have a clean game and that you always have the chance to uninstall your mods. Edited December 29, 2017 by TheVisitorX Quote

frankchris2969 Posted December 31, 2017 Posted December 31, 2017 (edited) Hi, I add my custom soundtrack themes to "game_mode.m_pck/sfx " and when I go to the game jukebox and select a song, it starts the beginning few seconds of the original soundtrack song (instead of starting a song from my custom soundtrack themes) and cuts off. I can add custom wrestler themes to my wrestlers no problem. Can anyone help, please? Thanks! Edited December 31, 2017 by frankchris2969 Quote
