Yeah, none of the 'locked' characters (Paul Heyman, Bobby Heenan, etc.) that were modded in can be used. The game doesn't crash or anything, they just don't load. I originally tried to reinstall WWE 2K17+ again to 'relock' them so to speak but the game just crashes at the splash screen when I have WWE 2K17+ installed.

Nope! I had it working fine until I crashed the game with the match editor, which was the start of all of the problems.

that's going to be very hard to figure out.  When you reinstalled 2K17 from steam did you delete the 2K17 folder first?

Also do you play the game in english?

When I reinstalled 2K17 I did not delete the 2K17 folder first, and I do play the game in English. Honestly now that I seem to have the game working again I'm not really stressing about getting it fixed any further for the time being, I'm just glad that I'm able to play it.

What would I have mucked up that would cause injecting pofos and movesets to freeze pacplus? lol.  Most functions are causing a freeze.  Although, the pac plus loads the slots perfectly so I don't have any issue using any modded wrestlers or anything.

Not too sure.  Only ask would be to set it to run as admin to see if it works that way.  Might be the pc restricting privileges?

 

Also common question lately has been what to do about "Attempting to deserialize and empty stream."

So that means one of the files in %appdata%/pozzum is 0 bytes so what you want to do is delete any 0 byte files from %appdata%/pozzum

Hey Pozzum, I'm getting a weird thing happen... I haven't played 2K17 for a few months, so I tried to update WWE 2k17+ before I fired it up but it threw up an error. I came on here, downloaded the newest version and went to install it. I got the options to repair or remove installation, so I tried to repair first. I double clicked the icon and the computer seemed to think about it for a minute but nothing happened. I tried removing and reinstalling but the same... I have tried running as admin, but no matter what, can't get it open now.

Sounds like the settings got corrupted but I have updated the link in this thread to the actual latest version. (usually the link is a few behind) So that should help.

If it doesn't load after the update let me know.

I would say uninstall 2K17+ and then delete %appdata%/pozzum and then try installing it.  It doesn't rely on much other than what it comes with or what's downloaded in the first time setup.

Got all of the mods working for me now, only thing is... all of the female strings are all mixed up, along with Apollo Crews, and I don't think the Carmella fix is working. Any suggestions? (Asuka w/ Alexa Bliss name, Carmella w/ Asuka name, Apollo Crews w/ Carmella name, Dana Brooke w/ Bayley name, while some aren't even listed. Just to be more detailed.)

I downloaded the Kurt Angle mod  and Matt Hardy mods using the download mods button. Unfortunately when I try to play I am stuck in the loading screen. Any troubleshooting procedures that you could advise? Thanks in advance.

Did you restart the game after you downloaded the models?  Did you change them to Attire 0 first when you downloaded them?  if you answered no to 1 of those questions that is probably what caused the crash.

Yeah, for some reason that wasn't working for me. I just deleted the roaming files in Appdata and it ended up being fixed. Probably kept the old data before the update or something. Thank you though.

try to use the update string button in the options menu.

Thanks Pozzum for such a great tool I can see the updates coming up and its nice to have them and even I want to make mods as well to serve for this community if I can and also one more thing as someone asked before that he download CM Punk but didn't get the entrance does that happen to all new superstars?

I mean in order to get an entrance for that superstar we need another file?....I want to know what file is needed for it

Yeah there is another file for entrances. It should be part of the next signifigant update.
