Data Editor for WWE 2k17 Work in Progress Update: I've fixed some minor bugs and alignment issues, updated the Data Editor 2k17's Announcer Settings and included Announcer and Commentary settings.

Thanks to @TheVisitorX for providing the Country, State and City Information and to @kim666 for letting me know which ID is responsible or the Commentary. ;)

Sounds good. What do you think a public beta test soon? We can help finding more bugs and ideas for future ideas ^^

Right now I don't think it will be soon. But that might change quickly once more people start to help with deciphering all the unknown move type bytes from the .moveset over in the Data Analysis thread as well as help us figure out various IDs for the dropdown boxes. ;)

Cave Waverider,

Just to clarify, with your Data Editor, am I able to rename attires? So, instead of maintaining a text document for each attires that I have in the game, I can just see the attires names in-game?

Yes, you'll be able to do that with the Data Editor 2k17's Attire Unlocker GUI. Look through this thread, I posted a screenshot of the Attire Name Editor with an in-game screenshot next to it somewhere.

Data Editor for WWE 2k17 Work in Progress Update:  After pulling another all-nighter, the Taunts Editor is finally fully implemented and working (hopefully). The way 2k has handled the new taunts certainly didn't make it easy. "Only" a whole bunch of moves and ID Lists to research and implement until I can start thinking about a beta test phase.

Data Editor for WWE 2k17 Work in Progress Update:  I've added Tag Team Finishers and Team Crowd Reaction Settings to the Team Info Editor and Manager Settings as well as a bunch of new moves to the Moveset Editor. This will hopefully cover most if not all moves now.

Slowly but steadily, I am starting to see light at the end of the tunnel, but I still have to figure out lots of IDs before I can start a beta test.

Data Editor for WWE 2k17 Work in Progress Update:  Thanks to @EL_G who figured out all the move IDs and verified them to be working, I have added all them to the Data Editor 2k17. I've also figured and added most IDs for Entrance Music, Entrance Animations (Basic, Champion, Advanced, Tag Team, Trios), Victory Animations (Regular, Champ, Tag Team, Tag Champ, Trios), Titantrons, Minitrons, Walltrons, Advanced Entrance Lighting and Screen Effects.
I'm still missing IDs for Tag Team Announce Names, Advanced Entrance Pyros, Crowd signs, City and State. If anybody would like to figure those out and send them to me it would be most appreciated as once I get those added the Data Editor for WWE 2k17 will be ready for a beta test.

So can this data editor edit CAWs too? Like for example remove the female flag on a CAW so she can fight male characters?

Yes, you can edit .pofo and .moveset files for CAWs just like you can for regular wrestlers.

Note, however, that female CAWs that are turned male get something that resembles the bubonic plague in this year's game, possibly a built-in mechanic to make males fighting females less attractive, a bug in the game or just a side-effect when the game tries to interpret a female CAW model as male. Be aware that the Data Editor cannot get rid of that.

Kinda want to see what that looks like just for curiosity sake.

Data Editor for WWE 2k17 Work in Progress Update:  Sorry, no fresh screenshots today! Instead you'll have to do with some good news. It looks like the ID lists are mostly done for everything, in no small part to the great help of @TheVisitorX who took it upon himself to research a couple of them as well as @EL_G earlier in the week wich allowed me to get to this point well ahead of schedule. This means the Data Editor for WWE 2k17 should be about ready for a closed beta test, I'll just wait for @TheVisitorX to get Custom Character Tools 2017 ready so we can do a joint beta for both tools like we did last year. If nothing unforseen happens, I'd estimate that we should hopefully be able to start sending out beta invites sometime next week. Those that helped us with research and other things will get first consideration for the closed beta as will those that appreciate the hard work. ;) Hopefully our tools aren't too buggy and the closed beta phase won't take too long so we can start a public beta soon.

Hello !
I arrived in the beginning of February on the forum and I am really surprised of the community of the site, I congratulated you for your work and has all the forum. Its strange to see a community like this compared to that of France. I am French so I had a hard time understanding the "modding". If you need a person to test the program do not hesitate. I look at the article to help you, but I really do not understand :( Good luck for the sequel and thank you for what you did.

I have been promoting you guys on 2k forums because in my opinion the members here @ smacktalks is the only reason that the game is such a hit. without your mods and additions to the games the players would be done with the game within a month of playing it. Keep up the fantastic work guys

I've updated the WWE 2k17 Startup Crash Fix with Mods for use with the new game Updated that was released today. You may find the download link in the top post.

Since alot has changed with the update, it will likely delay the closed beta of the Data Editor for WWE 2k17 and Custom Character Tools a bit as we figure out what changes we have to make for them to work properly with the new game version.

Data Editor for WWE 2k17 Work in Progress Update:  After the latest game patches changing alot of things as well as some initial hiccups, a bunch of beta testers have been invited to the closed beta and testing for the Data Editor for WWE 2k17 and Custom Character Tools is now underway.
If the closed beta goes well, we hope to be able to transition to the open beta phase as early as next week. Don't hold your breath, however, as it might take a while longer depending on how many bugs remain and how long it takes to fix them.

Can anyone help me with the Universal Unlocker? I installed it and followed instructions as followed but the attires aren't showing up in the game.

If you followed the instructions exactly (including not leaving any backups in the pac directory) and have the latest official steam version of the game, it should work. Maybe try restarting your computer so the game's temp folder gets cleared.

It isn't released yet. It will  be released when it's ready and when CCT is ready, since we want to release the tools together. Closed Beta has been going well, but we still need our testers to give us feedback. Once everything appears to work well enough, we'll transition to an open beta phase.
