Unfortunately that also happens with all other sound files, even superstar and generic themes :(. No idea why, maybe it has something to do with the export settings in Wwise? Seems like most of the files are converted by the Wwise GUI tool. That issue is really annoying because I can't check if a file does work or not.

I tell ya, I think the game is just unstable at times LOL I just re-injected the same file under the same menu song and it works perfectly. Without any re-converting but for the other issues I would definitely suggest just doing fresh converts. Not every will want to or know how to undo any possible issues.

not sure if this was mentioned, but I replaced 80's 2 with a new theme and it ends up alternating ingame between 80's 1 and 80's 2. might be a bug with the 2nd slot? maybe a game bug? who knows

Two things I noticed when updating:

1) Warning to people updating: the update restores the data.xml file to the stock one, so if you make any changes be sure to back it up in another folder before you update.

2) The keyboard shortcuts are AMAZING!

I can confirm this, it sounds lower than normal themes.

this is still happening with the newest update, using freshly converted songs as well

EDIT: also, the slots for 90's 1, 90's 2 have problems. 90's 1 doesn't get replaced and 90's 2 has the same problem as 80's 2 with alternating

Stupid question, but how do I update the sound editor ? Do I uninstall the old one and download/install the newest version ?

It is the same for 2k16 and 17. All sounds are recorded extremely loud. That is why they are so loud in the game. I can't do anything against that. I have included mp3gain to make the volume louder. Strange that it does not help because it does a track gain with up to 105db...!  And that should be enough.

I converted 2 themes, Nakamura with crowd effect and Cena with John Cena sucks chants, first time they was low, I converted again using Track gain and now the themes sounds good to me in the game. Try it guys

Is it possible to convert themes from 2K16 to 2K17? Like if I want to import Dustin Rhodes' theme from 2K16 to 2K17.

@PickleTennis Sure, open the pck file and export the theme as wem file from 2K15 or 16 with "Sound Editor" version from last year. It works the same like this years version. Then import that file with the current version. You don't have to change anything because it is a wem file already and also has the right volume.

No, it is not the old version! Have checked the link and the download contains version 2.1.1!

You're right! Interesting find. It seems to be a bug from the game itself. But a really interesting bug. Seems like it sometimes reads offset values from 80's 1 and sometimes offset values from 80's 2. Maybe they are related to each other. Last year we've had the same with some "remixes".
