I saw this on CAWS and thought I'd post it on here.  It seems to confirm 150 wrestlers in 2k17

yeah I could easily see 95 percent of the 2k16 roster on there with the rest new current roster inclusions

Weird. If you go to the Suplex City link on a mobile device it brings up that screen shot that mentions 150. However, if you click on the link from a non-mobile device, it says "hundreds". Looking back at 2K16, the roster is 155 including DLC. I would assume the 150 is predominately 2k16's roster with 2K16 DLC minus a few guys who didn't make the cut plus new superstars from the current roster and and new showcase(s?). My question is, does the 150 include duplicates....I'm guessing so.

It specifically states there are "150 different past, present, and future WWE stars". I'd say that makes it safe to assume duplicates aren't counted in that total, although it wouldn't surprise me if they counted Mick Foley's different persona's individually again like last year (assuming they made the cut of course).

well i already said that. the list i posted on my status update that person did it right and when i counted the 2k16 roster not counting duplicates or released superstars i came up with 112 people. including last year's dlc. now that leaves 38 open spaces for new and/or showcase people. i think that's the most feasible

It is not 150 which is confirmed by 2k community manager. If it is greater than 150 there is no need for damage control. So, I think the roster size will be around 130 or less.. But larger than 125.

he clearly said it's the largest roster to date , 2k16 had 112 if you include the dlc and don't include duplicates. so he did not confirm out the 150. i still stay it's 155.

stop downplaying it trying to say it's 125 and not bigger than 130. that was your exact words on the 2k forums

Last year on-disc roster size is 124 character which were revealed by IGN. This year it will around 130 characters. Still it will be the largest and greatest on-disc roster even though it is 125 characters. Moreover they don't have to damage control if it is greater than 150 characters. Another thing is they will not reveal over 109 characters in 3 more weeks. So, all these things pointing towards the roster size of around 130 characters.

I am not downplaying anything. Lets wait and watch the roster will be around 130 characters and get ready to be disappointed who ever expect a roster of 150+ characters.

vore wouldn't have came in and said it was the largest roster ever. it is not going to be 125 and he was not doing damage control. someone asked him a question and he gave an answer. I still think it will either be around 140 something or the 155 that was on the first Suplex City Map. you keep forgetting we had alot of duplicates that weren't even announced. that could be the case as well. It's not damage control.

So it's damage control?

So it's damage control?

that's what he [gamingfan] claims but i don't think so. someone had directly asked vore what the 150 meant and if that was the on disc roster cap number and he said that was something they had on there from when they made the preliminary interactive map. he said he's not going to say it's 150 but the roster is definitely larger than last year's on-disc roster. so that's pretty much what we have to go with.

i don't don't it's damage control though. he was just answering a question.

Ah so it's damage control gotta

Ah so it's damage control gotta

how the hell is that damage control when someone simply asked a question. regardless i doubt very seriously the roster cap is going to be 125-130.

The 150 number was part of early development coding on our interactive map and is not representative of the final roster list. However, we can ensure the WWE 2K17 roster will be the largest to date and encourage you to continue checking out official roster reveals each week – as part of the Suplex City Census – on IGN.

These are his exact words. If it is greater than 150 there is no need for them to come out and explain about it. Its just simple comprehension.

I don't think it will even be 140. Utmost the roster size will be 130. If you people keep your hopes up then get ready to be disappointed. Don't blame 2K then they did their best to explain it.

so if you're wrong will you just admit to it and kill this nonsense?

i will do the same.

besides as long as wcw makes it into a game with a wcw arena i'll be okay with whatever number they have.

and you people? i'm not GETTING anything up. i've been prepared to be let down ever since WWE13 and the 1 count glitch. and i don't need a bunch of nxt jobbers like you and most people seem to want.

Yep, if I am at fault I will agree it.

FYI, I like and prefer legends roster more than anything but not keeping my hopes up. Larger the roster the better but I assume they will not bump the on-disc roster by 30-50 characters every year.

i like where 2k16 went with the roster, but i honestly don't see it going past 145 at the most. do i want 150? yeah as long as it's not a bunch of the nxt crud cause i'm not at all interested in people like andrade or elias samson. as long as we keep the legends we got last year (that includes the wcw stuff) and they also add to that because of the nitro arena. even adding the nwo dlc from 2k14. i'll be good. but like i said i've not really gotten any type of hope up ever since the 1 count glitch that was never fixed in wwe13 and hogan being removed for poor reasons. so yeah. i'm just gonna sit back and watch like i do every year. wasn't trying to jump on you or anything. but yeah those people over there just seem to think that if it ends up being a bigger roster than last year that automatically makes a bunch of nxt people get in.

We cool. you said the magic phrase: I LIKE AND PREFER LEGENDS ROSTER MORE THAN ANYTHING.

Some of the new legends I want including main NXT guys are

Yokozuna

Psycho Sid

Million Dollar Man

Junkyard dog

Koko B Ware

Demolition

Road Warriors

Steiner Brothers

But I think none of these guys will be there again. Hope Yokozuna makes into the game somehow maybe as DLC.

Sorry to hear that, you should probably go see a doctor to get that checked out.

On a serious note would it really be that bad if more NXT guys made the cut?  Ideally I just want the best roster possible, in my mind that doesn't include guys like Elias Samson, but as long as we get a legends roster as solid as last year, as well as the new roster additions we can expect to see (namely AJ, Nakamura, Aries, Gallows, and Anderson) then I'd be perfectly content with whatever else they decide to throw at us. If nothing else a bigger roster means we'll have more parts to play with for caws and created entrances.
