Use Data Editor to easily fix the WWE 2k16 game Crash on Startup when Mods are Installed:

If I do that, will I have the fast startup? Could I use the default chunk_cache.bin?

No you don't have the fast startup with that fix! And no, you can't use the default chunk_cache.bin file because it does not work with modded files. So you have to decide:

- Game with mods and slow startup (first start and only on older hardware, for me it is fast enough) OR
- Game without mods and fast startup

@Joseph97 It is worth mentioning that the fast startup isn't worth it considering what you miss out on. If your game starts up too slowly for you, what you could do is start it and while it's loading and do some squats/pushups/situps/other quick exercise (recommended!), go fetch a healthy snack and/or beverage, head to the toilet for one last relieve before your gaming session, check your e-mails, a newspaper etc..

Well the time my game starts is 40 seconds, approximately.

But I liked the new startup, because it was instant.

Well, you'll have to decide whether your desire for mods outweighs your ADHD. :p

Hey guys everytime i try to do the workaround for the alternate attire music i just noticed that their moveset defaults to the Rock is there something that i'm doing wrong? Or do i just need to backup their movesets before i do the workaround

I think the default moveset in Data Editor is The Rock's - so you might be overwriting the moveset with the default one.  Make sure to:

- Load the moveset for the wrestler you're injecting

- Check the workaround alt attire music box

- Resave the moveset with that option added

- Inject the resaved moveset into the game

Yes. It certainly sounds like you haven't loaded the original .moveset file into the Data Editor first or didn't load the Moves part.

I've added a small tutorial titled
"Enable Winning Music for all attires using Data Editor and CCT" to the Data Editor Tutorials post.

You probably already had messed up their movesets in the game in your previous attempts. Try loading their .moveset files from the Templates folder and work with those instead, as they are the original, unchanged files from the game.

I edited my CAW successfully. Do note, all I edited were the attributes and the hit point ratio, but everything seems to be fully funcitonal. Will play a match with her, see how it goes, and post again.

If you max out the hit point ratio on anyone, it's almost like being invincible seeing as you get 2000 more hp at the start of matches.

A new version has been released and can be downloaded in the top post.

Update Notes:

2016.05.16: VERSION 2016.0.5.5 Beta:
+ General: Optimized the code to slightly reduce the application's memory footprint and improve performance.
+ Data Editor Settings: Added Checkbox to Show or Hide Names of mods in reserved slots of the Wrestler ID Lists/Dropdown Boxes. This box is ticked by default.
If the box is ticked, the names of modded wrestlers that have been reserved in Pozzum's Memory Table will be displayed in all lists of the Wrestler ID and Moveset checkboxes, including the .pofo Editor, .moveset Editor, .team_info Editor and Attire Unlocker. Mods in regularly available slots are marked with [] while mods in slots that require Pozzum's PacPlus are marked with <>.
If you untick the box, the ID Lists will only contain the names of wrestlers, managers and NPCs that are included with the game by default.
You need to restart the Data Editor after you change this setting in order for the changes to take effect.

Is there a way to extract the moveset that you have created for a mod and do some edits on Data Editor?

Is there a way to extract the moveset that you have created for a mod and do some edits on Data Editor?

Yes, with the help of Custom Character Tools. Simply follow the Tutorial titled "Exporting .pofo, .moveset and/or .team_info files from the Game via CCT directly into the Data Editor" for the .moveset file and use the ID of the wrestler you made the moveset for in the game (could be a mod, CAW, original wrestler, etc.). This will load the data into the Data Editor so you can make edits as you please. Once you're done, use the "Install .moveset via CCT" button to reinstall it back into the game (see the "Installing Wrestlers with Data Editor via Custom Character Tools" tutorial for detailed information on how to do this).

By the way, reading (or in some cases watching - sadly, people haven't volunteered to make many video tutorials yet so it's mostly reading, sorry) the Data Editor Tutorials is a good idea as they might just answer such questions. ;)
