amazing-maze Posted October 7, 2015 Author Posted October 7, 2015 Ok thanks. I will also stick to that method. Can I also ask, when you say "sculpting", what exactly can we do to a model in zbrush? Can we change the texture? cane we sculpt on the model itself? lol I know I have a million questions. so sorry about this thanks again for your very needed help Quote

Modelling programs like ZBrush are more for sculpting the actual model by manipulating vertices.Take a look at these tutorials to get you started. Most of them aren't specifically for ZBrush, but the basic premise will be the same no matter what modelling program you use. It will just be a matter of finding the proper tools to achieve the same results in Zbrush. For those new to the modding community and looking to learn how to mod, below is a list of tutorials that some of the more experienced modders have put together. amazing-maze Posted October 8, 2015 Author Posted October 8, 2015 (edited) @LordJustice17Thank you for the feedback. Let me say that I am a 3D artist who knows Zbrush software very well. I wanted to ask my last question in reference to sculpting the 3D model??? Is that possible??? To sculpt on the model itself meaning moving the scull of the model and laying down textures? I know we can lay down textures now, but can we actually MODEL? Here's the rock I have so far, but what I want to do is make him younger and inorder to do that I have to smoth his skin down (take away the winkles on the mouth. Can I do something like that? Heres some of my work Edited October 8, 2015 by amazing-maze Quote
LordJustice17 Posted October 8, 2015 Posted October 8, 2015 @amazing-mazeYes, you can change the shape, size, etc of the model by moving around vertices. That's how all these unique characters are created that don't have existing faces in game. They all started from an existing model and then were sculpted into something completely new (ie: My Arn Anderson started using Rusev as a base). For example, you could move/stretch the vertices on the Rock's forehead to give him a unicorn horn if you so wished. The tutorials above will give you a good sense of this.To get them back into the game you will need X-Rey (I'm assuming you have this already as you have exported the object already). If you modify the head model enough you will likely also need to use X-Rey to remove facial animations or else you will end up having Clayface in game.Deep wrinkles may be part of the actual model. You can probably tell quite easily by looking at the model when it is untextured. As for the other wrinkles some of that is contained in the texture files (ao and normals). These can be edited in an image editing program like GIMP or Photoshop (although you may need to add certain plugins).I would recommend you watch Prinsto's video tutorial (linked above). It is for Blender, but it will give you a good sense of how the overall procedure works. Quote
amazing-maze Posted October 8, 2015 Author Posted October 8, 2015 (edited) @LordJustice17Again thank you for your response. Yes I have watched his video, but he speaks pretty fast and the navigation for blender is so bad for me. He didn't explain how he moved around (navigate) and also when he brought in the wyatt head model, it seems that in his video he bent and shaped the mick foley head model on top of the wyatt head model. Also when he imported the wyatt head into blender, his wyatt head model went straight on top of his mick foley. It was positioned on top of each other correctly. Mine did not transfer over like his did, and of course I started pulling out my hair trying to see what went wrong. What I did see in that video was that he was somehow pulling his Mick Foley model (face) onto the face of the wyatt model. What I'm asking is if I can sculpt on the model directly. Meaning for instance I take a stone cold head (because of the bald head & mustache) and form the head into a Goldberg model. I could do that in Zbrush with no problems. With the help of a user on here I now see that I am able to change the texture in Zbrush. Now your telling me that I can manipulate the models bone shape to replicate a wrestler of your own??? This is exciting because I've been wanting to do something like this for so long.Ive used Zbrush/keyshot/ Maya for almost 2 years. I love zbrush the most because is so easy to navigate and build. I'm going to sculp this rock head and see where it go's. Can I PM you from time to time on this project? Thanks Edited October 8, 2015 by amazing-maze Quote

I did a tutorial on importing zbrush back to 3ds max (You'll need to fix the channel info from there). If you have any questions PM me or if I'm not around GameElite. I look forward to seeing what mods you have up your sleeve. Quote
amazing-maze Posted October 9, 2015 Author Posted October 9, 2015 @bravebird31Thanks so much for the help. Its so much appreciated. I'm gonna try this texture change and see if it works out, but my joy comes from modeling & sculpting and I cant wait to try some with these 2k15 models. Should be interesting if all works out. Thanks again man Quote
