Note: The Wrestler Information and Moveset Creator 2k15 is considered EOL and thus no longer being actively developed, updated or supported as the developer's work is being continued with the Data Editor for WWE 2k16.

Wrestler Information and Moveset Creator for WWE 2k15
(vulgo "Data Editor for WWE 2k15")

Latest version: 0.5.1 Alpha | Synopsis: A program that allows users to easily create, load, edit and save .pofo and .moveset files and more for WWE 2k15 on the PC.
The current release is a public alpha release and some functions may not be implemented properly yet. Please try it out and leave your feedback, especially if something doesn't work. The Readme file includes more detailed information.

This version is for WWE 2k15 only and will not work with other games. For the WWE 2k16 version of this tool, download the Wrestler Information and Moveset Creator 2k16 instead.

Please follow this thread so you get updates whenever a new version is released. Please always download, install and use the latest version of the tool, as many bugs and issues that may have been in previous versions may be fixed and additional features available.

DESCRIPTION

This modding tool has been created to allow modders and users to easily create Wrestler Information and Moveset files for their modded wrestlers and save them as .pofo and .moveset files, respectively.
The tool also allows to set several options and option combinations for .pofo and .moveset files that are normally hidden and/or inaccessible in the game.
In addition, the tool implements a GUI based on the Universal Alternate Attire Unlock helper mod that allows users to unlock alternate Attires for up to 100 wrestlers.

This is an early alpha version. Some functions may not be properly implemented yet and there are likely various bugs. Please report them if you find them!

INSTALLATION

Installation steps:

1. Download and install the Java Runtime Enviroment 8u60 or later from:
http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/downloads/jre8-downloads-2133155.html
During the installation of Java, be careful to opt out of installing any additional programs and opt out of automatic updates as well.
2. Extract all files and directories from the archive to a directory of your choosing (be sure that you have full Read/Write privileges for the folder and keep the file and folder structure in the archive intact).
3. Run the included .jar file by double-clicking on it.

2015.09.14: VERSION 0.2.0 Alpha:
+ Changed Text Input boxes to use a monotype font to make sure the boxes and their clickable areas remain the same width, no matter which characters have been typed.
+ Added the ability to load and edit existing .pofo files.

+ Fixed a bug that sometimes caused the Hex code for the name and social strings to be set incorrectly in the respective input fields when loading a file.

+ Added a dirty hack that enables a large scrolling area of roughly double the size of the content which should hopefully allow users with resolutions smaller than 1920x1080 or with various levels of Display Scaling or DPI settings to access all GUI elements by scrolling vertically and/or horizontally in both the Wrestler Information and Moveset Creator tabs.
+ Added a Moveset Files\Templates\Preset Movesets\ subfolder with Preset Movesets created by TheHeartbreakKid.

The tool is written in Java, thus it requires an installation of a Java Runtime Enviroment (JRE) to run. Java SE 8u60 JRE later is recommended. Earlier versions could cause the tool to malfunction. You can download it at the following URL:

During the installation, be careful to opt out of installing any additional programs.

The tool is intended to be used to create Wrestler Information and Moveset files for the official Steam version of WWE 2k15 with the Steam game June 2nd 2015 DLC Update installed. Any other versions are not supported.

KNOWN ISSUES

- The Wrestler Information Creator currently doesn't warn you about settings that are incompatible with each other, such as assigning the same Ability (of different or same level) to different slots or assigning Skills that are mutually exclusive. It also allows Hit Point percentages to be set below or above the threshold selectable in-game.
- It can happen that an advanced entrance is unavailable for the wrestler ID after injecting the created .moveset file without having the advanced entrance set.
- The GUI Layout isn't ideal.
- The scroll bars don't always appear when needed and are sometimes visible when not needed.
- Error handling is still very basic.
- All moves can be selected for all move slots, even incompatible ones, which could potentially lead to issues.
- The Standard Attire selector in the Moveset Creator only supports Attires 1-10, not Random or CAW attires in this version.
- The tool is designed for monitors with a vertical resolution of 1080 pixels. If your monitor has a lower native resolution, the tool may not display all GUI elements properly, most prominently the Load/Reset/Readme/Save buttons on the bottom.
Windows (and possibly other OS) DPI and font scaling isn't supported and could lead to GUI elements being cut off, layed over each other or being shoved outside of the visible GUI window. Workaround: Set DPI Scaling and "Display Settings->Change size of text, apps and other items" to 100% (or 96DPI or "Smaller" depending on OS version) in Windows.
- Advanced Entrance Editor: The Information in the dropdown boxes which ID of Motions, Lighting, Pyros and Screen effects is rudimentary and inaccurate as it hasn't been figured out yet.
- The tool currently requires you to pick one of the game's .exe files in the directory WWE 2k15 is installed in order to work properly.
- Most data for the dropdown boxes still contains incomplete or sometimes inaccurate information. I could use some help with that.
- Scrollbars are always enabled in the Wrestler Information and Moveset tabs.

Unconfirmed (need to reproduce):

  • None right now.

Issues that are caused by the game and can't be fixed:

  • Advanced Entrance Creation in the game is only available for NPCs and added wrestlers in slots that aren't populated by wrestlers by default unless you Enable Advanced Creation in the tool. Once you set Easy Creation, you can't access the Advanced Creation for an affected wrestler in the game anymore and have to set it again in the .moveset file using the tool.
  • When you use hidden options that aren't selectable in-game in the Tool's Advanced Entrance Editor for each section (for example, parts of Undertaker's entrance, using an in-Ring entrance motion for the Stage, setting more than 2 pyros, lightings, screen effects per section etc.) , they will reset upon entering the in-game Advanced Entrance Creation tool. They will work for entrances as long as you do not modify the entrance in-game, however.
  • If you add moves that are hidden/aren't selectable in the game with the tool, using the in-game moveset editor may reset some of the moves that are hidden in the game for that wrestler.
  • If you set incompatible options in the .pofo file (such as mutually exclusive Skills, putting the same Ability of the same or different level in different ability slots, setting individual and total hitpoints below or above the in-game thresholds), the game may reset some or all of these for your wrestler upon starting and/or editing these things.

It also allows Hit Point percentages to be set below or above the threshold selectable in-game.
  • The Moveset Creator in this version is very basic. It only allows you to create a generic .moveset file for the selected Wrestler ID. The actual moveset and entrance still has to be edited in the game itself after injecting the moveset with Cheat Engine or Xpacker. This will change in the future, likely after the Wrestler Information creator has reached a satisfactory level of functionality and completion.
  • It is not possible to load and edit existing .pofo or .moveset files.

In the boxes for Short Name, Social Account, and Entrance Name, it won't let my type anything in it, but it works for the Name box. Is this a bug? Oh and in-game I had a render of Triple H that I have never seen before.77ft8h1d5aq9312zg.jpg

Hm. Although these three boxes are optional (if you leave the Entrance and Short name empty, they will use the regular name as well, the social account will use a empty string when left empty), you should be able to type into them. It works fine for me. Does the issue only occur after doing certain things for you or right away?
Try to click the leftmost edge of the box and type there. Perhaps it has something to do with the columns inside the JTestField resizing. Perhaps if I use a monospace font for the input text it will help with the problem.

It works fine for me. Does the issue only occur after doing certain things for you or right away?

All i did was type in the string hex for the name, and when i clicked on those boxes and typed it would just make the windows sound.

Very odd. I can't reproduce this here, nor have I set a beep for erroneous. Which Operating system and version as well as Java version do you use? I'll try to reproduce it some more.

Yeah, that render seems to be tied to ID 471. Some empty slots seem to have renders, announce names and other fun things that are leftovers from older games or didn't make the cut. It has nothing to do with the tool, however.

And as the tooltips should show, you only have to type a hex code into the name field. If you leave the other three fields empty, they get auto-populated with a copy of the hex code input into the name string, resp. an empty social account string. It's a feature, so people that just wish to use one string don't have to copy it to the other fields. There will likely be a GUI tweak to make it less confusing in later versions.

You're most welcome! Do let me know if you find any issues with it (since you're experienced editing these files manually, it might be a good idea to open the created files in a hex editor, too, and see if something doesn't seem right).

Ok. I know I am using the latest java version, and also thanks for this amazing tool, it makes the whole process of making pofo and moveset files so much easier.

Another small but important update to hopfeully fix a critical bug that has snuck into earlier versions. Please update to the latest version now. The Download link in the top post has been updated.

+ Fixed a critical bug that caused the Rosters for My WWE and WWE Universe mode not to be read and set correctly in some cases which could cause the tool to hang.

Very useful tool, my only criticism is that it uses Java and that can deter people from using it. I'm not a fan of Java in the slightest. 

I'm not sure why one needs to be a fan of a programming language to use a program that's written in it, but to each their own. It could think of languages which might have made some things easier to do (especially the GUI, which I'll likely redo when I have everything else working well enough and have all the features I will be content with to a beta stage), but I have an exam coming up that will require me to write a Java program in a short amount of time and my Java skills are a bit rusty, thus I had to practice. I thought instead of wasting time writing boring, useless exercise programs that I'd discard never to be seen again, I'd just combine my practice with something useful I can give back to the community. :)

how to know the id of the wrestlers?

You'll be happy to know that the latest version has the default wrestlers listed beside their IDs (same goes for entrance music, titantrons, minitrons, walltrons, entrance animations, etc.). :)

I love the tool. I think the entrance portion isn't functioning properly. Could've been me. When I set anyone's entrance to anything in game it defaults to Roman Reigns entrance with The Shield music and vid etc.

That's not a big deal to me though as I can just adjust that stuff in game. The Name String portion is where I have a more interesting question. How can we know what each 4 letter string will give us? Is there a table? I put Kurt Angle's name to 8100 and that made his in game name "Leg Damage."

I think it has to do with the advanced entrance stuff I enabled in the default template file as I was trying to get advanced entrances to enable (you can't use advanced entrances if you don't set them as enabled initially in non-default slots for some reason). I also have to figure out which bytes control things like the default creator entrance, winning animation, etc..
What you could try is load one of the .moveset files in the Template folder that belong to a wrestler other than the default.moveset first, and then change your values and save it as whatever slot and use that file. Let me know if that works.

As for the String hex codes, you need to ask someone that knows their stuff better. I think there is a tutorial for it somewhere as well. I usually just use the hex codes posted in the Community DLC thread/Future String thread or try to use a custom string in that value area and see which one it is.

I was trying to make a pofo and moveset file for davey richards, but everytime i go to edit moveset, it crashes. I don't know if it is the Davey Richards mod since I changed the slot number or if it was a bug with the pofo and moveset I made using your tool. This has never happened before, so I don't think it is a bug. But who knows. EDIT; I tried the same pofo and moveset file on someone else, and it crashed at the moveset menu again
