Looking very impressive fantastic work you have put together the ultimate sting. And me being a huge fan love all the hard work you have put into this mod its always a treat to see that an update has been made in this topic, Also love the new nwa attires and paint so well done.

 

Haha, thanks brother. Have to present the Stinger in all this HD glory.  Love finally being able to use Sting, have the commentary speak on Sting and his history, actual movesets, themes, etc.  I've waited forever for this, and for them to give us 99 Sting instead of the iconic Starrcade 97 killed my enthusiasm. I'm sure there'll eventually be better ones come out, and that'll be awesome when it happens. But this one will hold me over for the time being.

Thanks man.  That's my intention. There's always been things that have been bothering me, but I like to keep guys in the loop to see where it's came from.  I'm pretty happy with where he is. Hopefully you all are too.

I appreciate it AlcLegacy. Glad you are doing some of the more recent stuff, as well as the wolfpack, etc. I was never keen on those, so I don't have the same passion for it.  You're doing awesome stuff on those.

Side note: Why did they go out of their way to mess up Sting's entrance? Justin Roberts wtf is "From every man's nightmare?" Why couldn't they just have had him say "Ladies and Gentlemen this is Sting"

Thanks for that man.  I appreciate it.  I agree, Justin Roberts messed up.  Stinks.  They have surfer Sting's and Crow Sting's mixed up.

Hello everybody. I have been following on and off again smacktalks for years. I remember followinbg the CAW verse since highschool. OVER TEN YEARS!! and still remember a guy named Def Dave who put out quality CAW.

Anyways, I have been following the modding for 2k15 on pc and after seeing the sting work that you have done I bought it and started learning how to use them. I took video game design and programming but I hate the hex stuff. and all that. I dont like to actually create the mods as I dont want to break the game at all.  Just have to say I cant wait to play as 97 sting. your work made me buy the game for a 3rd time. crazy eh? I wish I could use the sting 99 alt right now. lol cant wait.

btw, if I had to critique at all its that the face paint is too white. too clean. and the top black lines go too inwards. should look more straight up. though it is easier to say. You did a great job at capturing his sadness in this look. like bringing the black above his eyebrows. amazing job

Yeah, the lines from Starrcade were inward, almost touching though:

 

 

 

And I've been watching Starrcade all evening (another night away from home and the kids/wife) and his paint was bright and crisp.  I may take a look at adding some additional texture to it, but it was caked on pretty thick that night.  I may release it and fix that down the road. Or leave it to someone more skilled than I am.  

 

I appreciate the insight and comments.  Love to see other Sting fans stop lurking in the rafters and come out of the shadows (pun intended), ha.

haha your right. the just always looked straight up to me.. good job. and actually, I blew up the picture and really looked at it and the white face paint is actually good. I see the skin texture I was looking for underneath. you are right too, it was on there pretty good that night. this is the Sting I know, *also TNA as well, its the latest sting really to take up memory*

The other NWA attires previewed will be in the surfer Sting slot that I release. So the 5 or 6 that I have not released previously.

haha sorry. I got confused with the other guy making a great 2015 sting. He was making the TNA attires. Sorry bout the mix up.  Greath khali's hair def does TNA sting justice.

Hmm...Well Aslong as the chr.pac is backup'd I dont think anybody here will have a problem overwriting it completely.  Injecting it into a pack with all the late 90's sting would be beautiful. Renminds me of the old WCW vs NWO world tour game that I loved haha

I hope somebody takes on making a Hollywood hogan pac. Like...as good quality as your stings.

I use Tekken's dummy.pac , works perfectly fine.

He's no longer missing the gloves dyn0myte.  You just can't preview them in the creation suite unfortunately.  One of my other in game shots showed it. They're Mechanix, complete with the wrist logo and "The Original" wording.  

 

I hope to have it uploaded this afternoon, and then start working on the complete pac with walkout attire - first black & white - early crow -Starrcade, etc.

ERMAH GERD... ITS STING

 

 

I didn't show this one the other day. I didn't have a compilation picture made.  This is based off of the "Roos" Poster from the 80's. 

 

 

 

I believe these are two of my final NWA attires.  I'm not sure how many that makes, but I figure it's enough NWA. 

The Red/White/Blue attire is a more modern facepaint, but I had already done another Great American Bash attire, so I just filled it in with the retro scorpion, etc.  The Pink/White/Black attire was one of my favorite from the NWA years as well, partially due to the pink and teal color combo on the tights.  It was just so "out there" of a mix of colors.  

 

 

RAT TAIL

 

In the meantime, I made a small tweak that I think makes a world of difference to NWA Sting. Most may not enjoy it as much as I do. I'm still tweaking it, but its a start.  I present, the rat tail, lol... 

 

 

I also tweaked the side of the hair, to make it less bushy, a closer cut on both sides.  

The scorpion and alpha was redone completely.  Probably not crazily noticeable, but it's much better in game IMHO.  

I've started playing around with Jackets for the entrance.  I'm working on a Great American Bash one, but currently, here's a Black/White Stinger w/ White/Silver/Black entrance jacket. Let me know what you all think.  Also, I've since updated his pants to Black with a White Scorpion on it. I think it looks better.

Overall, I'm extremely pleased with how it turned out.  In game it looks great. I'll still make a few tweaks here and there, but I'm pretty happy with it.

NWA Project

 

And here's my new project.  Probably 3-5 NWA/UWF attires for the Stinger.  He was more aggressive with the jagged lines in his facepaints.  The scorpion I'm still adjusting.  I need to thin the torso of the scorpion, but overall, I'm pretty happy with it.  I know the colors are off on it as well, but the face paint and boots are pretty well matched.  The scorpion just needs to be darkened. Thoughts?

Those are the new mechanix gloves.  The wrist logo is different on those than the ones he wore. The accurate wristband was used. Mechanix gloves are on and included.
