Borusse92 Posted May 5, 2015 Posted May 5, 2015 (edited) This is amazing! Thank you very much for your hard work tekken.I´m new to modding a 2k game on PC (expect some older NBA ones), so it´s a big help for us new guys if we are getting such a great tutorial.I haven´t decided to "buy" your Tools yet, just because of the reason that I want to get a better PC in the future. If I would buy it now my licence would be gone by then if I read correctly.Long story short, thank you again very much for your dedication to this game and it´s community Edited May 5, 2015 by Borusse92 Quote
Elliot Posted May 5, 2015 Posted May 5, 2015 (edited) For some reason, textures won't open in Photoshop? Saying it's an incorrect file type? Probably me being a noob but do I have to change the file type or something? Edited May 5, 2015 by Elliot Quote

tekken57 Posted May 5, 2015 Author Posted May 5, 2015 Guys, please post your questions in he help section. I will only answer questions relating to the texture modding tutorial in this thread. I'll answer the previous questions but no more off topic questions after this: @tbm, you get X-Packer 10 and all incremental updates to version 10. I usually create a new version of the program each year when the new game is released due to a large amount of work required to support the save and / or new formats. So there will be an X-Packer 11 for 2k16 which will require a separate license. @chunked, the process has been detailed in the tutorials for the xbox 360 already. The key is in editing the save file which we cannot do at this time. I am currently looking into this. @borusse92, yes the license is specific to a single computer. Look forward to mods from you With regards to the alt attires, I wrote a tutorial on this a while ago, the process is pretty much the same. @eliott, you need the dds plugin for photoshop to edit textures. Phew , alright back to texture modding Quote

If anyone's using gimp https://code.google.com/p/gimp-dds/ If anyone's using paint.net It naively supports .dds Edited May 5, 2015 by JDB Quote
Elliot Posted May 5, 2015 Posted May 5, 2015 I did something very simple to start with but I'm pleased to say it worked. Added the new WWE logo to the referee's shirt, haha. Quote

Could you share it please? https://www.mediafire.com/?of14w1jsi8gecg6 Literally the first ever thing I've done with a mod tool so it's like the smallest thing haha. But there's the referee .pac if anyone wants it. Quote

TheBirdSolution Posted May 5, 2015 Posted May 5, 2015 Hey Tek, should be purchasing XPacker (and maybe X-Rey) in the next few days, just wondering, what resolution are the texture files this year? Just wondering, before I go sourcing any images to texture, ya' know. Quote

Lorne Osbourne Posted May 6, 2015 Posted May 6, 2015 Hello brothers, I apologize in advance for my English, I write from Italy. We have already presented years ago, but I can not remember the data acces from the old profile. I promise that in the coming hours will purchase the various tools of Tekken, but first of all I would like to understand what kind of problems I have. I'm trying to use the old tools (I know the limitations of the old tools with the PC version) After following all the steps to the letter I find myself again with the usual error with Xbdecompression ... Instead with X-packer, I can extract only the first file.pac and then I can not reopen the PACH file in any way. I also checked that there is no type of space between the files, such as a guide. I'm sure, that this is the classic stupid question that I read for years. But I have not been able yet to find a solution or answer. I would be grateful to you all, thanks for your help. Once solved this problem, if the problem does not come from my pc ... I will immediately donation to Tekken for the new tools. Thanks and greetings from Italy. Quote
tekken57 Posted May 6, 2015 Author Posted May 6, 2015 @lorne osbourne, you need the latest version of X-Packer to open the pac files. I just tried some texture edits on the attires. The changes didn't reflect in game, not sure if anyone else has encountered this. The only way I've been able to do texture edits to the attires was to create an alt attire in the pac. I also did a quick test of hair swaps and it works as normal: Quote
Dhyie Posted May 6, 2015 Posted May 6, 2015 i´m new with X-Packer and i want to edit Batista´s trunks but i can´t see where the texture is, i can see elbow, kneepads textures, but not trunks, and i want to add the gracie logo. Quote

Didn't create an alt attire edit: much better. Edited May 6, 2015 by chunked Quote

I didnt add a alternate Attire for Sting. Do you had a backup of the A.pac file in your folder? Quote
