I've added the new values for 2k15 into the misc editor, if the values are still being reset I'm not sure how to fix it.

I personally set all the values to wrestlemania 1, 2 ... 10. Attire names are not a big thing for me.

Is there a way to rename the attires that you've set to that?

-Open string as pac file, extract 4000.pac.

-Open it as a PACH file.

- Uncompress 0003. Press Ctrl +0 to open it as a string pac.

- Scroll to Filename 'C2CA'

- Change it to whatever you like

- Inject 0003 back into 4000 PACH, 4000 back into string (backup your file) and put the string.pac file back in.

Attire should now be changed. However, this will change it for everyone who has the attire name of 'C2CA' in the misc file.

Appreciate that.

Can this method be used to rename superstars as well? Or is the functionality only for attires?

It can be used to rename mostly every text in the game.

EDIT: The "destruction" happens after the import of the obj with X-Rey. When I open the the just exported obj in Blender the UV maps are fine, but when I import the obj into X-Rey and then export it back and open it into the blender the UVs are messed up.

EDIT 2: Nevermind, I found working export settings:

pn7ghe8i.png

Dude what about "Include UVs" option?

This causes the error I detailed on the last page.

@tekken57 I don't really know. I've looked a bit around in the options but couldn't find any matching options for the computing of UVs.

I took a look at the blender files again today and the uv values are contained in the file but the order of the uv's is different. This is what is causing the issue. Is there any setting in blender which causes this?

Also if someone else can please import an object exported from X-rey into blender. Then export the same object as collada format. Send me both objects and I'll take a look, hopefully the order is not changed in the collada format as well.

Thanks for the files, however collada also has the same uv values. I've read some posts that the uv sometimes gets flipped when importing into blender. Can you experiment with this and let me know, maybe the uv assignments are flipped vertically.

Posted

I also noticed that the uv's are ordered numerically. There must be a setting which controls this. Maybe try disabling the "Keep vertex order setting". Try this first before experimenting with flipping the uv's.

Posted

I tried both. Unfortunately same result as before.

1. I didn't used "Keep vertex order" when importing and exporting.

2. I flipped the UVs vertically.

Maybe you could take a look at Blender yourself since it's free. It would speed this progress up I think.

Thanks again for the effort!

Since the search function didn't spit out anything that has truly answered my question by the Source (the forums seem a bit messy right now):

Tekken, if I purchase and install Xpacker/X-Rey now, will it still work once I do the free upgrade to Windows 10 around July 29 (even if I do a clean install of Windows 10 since dirty update installs can lead to problems or even upgrades can fail and may require a clean installation)?
What's the activation tied to? A certain hardware configuration (I assume so, as the top post specifically says that the license is valid for a single computer, not a single operating system)? Some license key in the registry or entry on the hard drive that can be backed up? What do I need to be able to re-activate Xpacker with the same license after a fresh Windows 10 installation?
I really wish to start modding this game soon so I can contribute to the community, but while I've finally managed to save the required amount for Xpacker, I simply don't have the means right now to pay for the license twice so I wish to be sure to not loose it once I have paid for it.

Thank you very much!

The activation of both programs is dependent on your specific hardware not the software. Some guys have upgraded from Windows vista to 7 in the past without needing a new activation code.

The issue is that Windows 10 could report the hardware differently, I can't be certain until Windows 10 is released. This scenario is unlikely however I would recommend waiting until you update to Windows 10 before acquiring both programs.

I will assist you either way.

I can confirm that at least your activation system works on windows 10 because I have the Windows 10 preview on my pc and X-Rey/X-Packer activated fine.

Thank you both for the replies. These replies eased my mind quite a bit.

Tekken, I installed some updates from windows update, and when I opened Xpacker and X-rey, this prompted me again to the activation key requirement.

How can I fix it?

You cannot set the values using X-Packer. The easiest way is to extract the caw info and edit the value in a hex editor.

Hey tekken. It's been a long time. Just donated towards X-Packer  and X-Rey and wanted to say thanks for all your efforts. You've always been one of the driving forces behind the modding scene over the years across multiple forums.

Keep up the good work and look forward to your always awesome mods.

I can't recall the exact offset but the caw tron is set in the caw info file. Edit the tron value in 2k14 and compare the files, look at which offset is changed.

Tekken, I need to PM/msg you, but when I try to send, it says you can't receive messages.

Posted (edited)

That's because I keep getting pm's with noob questions. If you have a query regarding X-Packer / X-Rey and cannot pm me, please send me an email sf4mods@gmail.com
