I hate to ask some noobish questions but you guys seem really helpful so I will go ahead and ask some things I have been wondering.

 

1. How exactly are you guys creating wrestlers from scratch? People like Scott Steiner and Jeff Hardy without using CC, are you guys editing the models and texures of wrestlers already in the game and re-texturing them and then inject them by using an open CH Pac slot for example I see in PC the first gap goes from 109-115. Meaning emply slots are in 111-114, meaning  you could add them to the game by injecting them to those slots right?

 

2.  Is it possible to turn a CAW into a Ch Pac file? Like instead of having it lod in the game as a CAS, have it load as a actual wrestler?

@scratcher, thanks for pointing those issues out. I'll take a look at the renaming function. About the misc editor, I can't recall if I added all the values for the 2k15 names, not many people requested the misc functionality for 2k15 on the xbox. I'll look into it. If you tell me which names are not showing up or causing issues, it would be appreciated.

The problem is as soon as you open the misc file in XPacker every single attire name is set to 2EE1, which is "RAW". It's not a huge deal though, because it seems if you rename them manually and save the file, they stay that way, luckily.

I'm still only modding 2K14 (and maybe some assets from 2K15 so that I can put them into 2K14) is there any benefits for me to buy this newest version - bug fixes, improved features, etc?

 

This isn't meant to sound sarcastic or trolling, I'm just curious if there's any need for me to buy this newest version when XPacker 9 is still handling all my needs

@el guapo, if you're only modding 2k14 then you don't need X-Packer 10, X-Packer 9 has everything you need. The new features are for 2k15 and support for the pc pac files.

Hey Tekken is there gonna be a update for xpacker 10.2 I realized I can't turn some files into a .dds or tga just looking for those superstars select screen renders and vs screen plus the thumbnails. I've been threw a lot of files idk why this ver don't have a menuhd2.pac ;(.

Yes there will be an update. There's a few new functions I need to code. Traveling for work at the moment, so I will code the updates when in my free time.

 

In the interim, if you are getting errors with with the texture archives, I posted a manual method a few posts back.

I can only change the file name of a pach inside a pac once and if I want to change another file name I have to open the pac again. Is that a bug or am I doing something wrong?

It's a bug which I am fixing. The renaming function needs to be recoded for the pc pac files.

 

In the interim, The process you are following is correct, rename, then open the pac again. The renaming is not broken,X-Packer is  just reopening the file using the wrong option after renaming.

Can someone point me in the direction of how to swap hair amongst superstars?

Is it possible to replace hair using X-Packer, and still be able to position it correctly? I have changed Stings hair but it is floating slightly.

 

Also, is it possible to give someone a bigger beard?

 

(I am on PC btw) :)

Meh.. after i guess 10 days of working.. i tried to run xpacker again. Today.

 

My old license is gone.. and i got a new serial.. what the heck.

 

I didnt make any changes to my os or the Xpacker folder :(

Did happen this to somebody else?!

 

EDIT:

 

DONT TURN OFF certain Windows functions.. i turned the tasked i closed permanently  on again.. and it works..

 

My fault but keep this in mind guys..

 

DOnt know the name of the Task in Englisch

Hey tekken i was wondering how i would be able to export a 3ds max file to replace the header.info and object file cause i was messing around with 3ds max and figured out how to lower the vertex for a model but when i try to export it i don't know what type of file to select or how to create a header file.

People have been experimenting with the Selection Screen Pictures. It was found that everyone freezes when we edit their render besides John Cena. The majority of the information we found is in this topic.

@jaymeetee, yes you can replace hair but you need to position it correctly in 3dsmax. If it is still floating, you need to replace the bones.

@deka_night, you cannot generate a header info file. The inject smaller is intended to take parts from one model to another.

@prince b3astie, I'll have tried working with the selection pics as yet. I'm busy coding x-packer at the moment and will take a look soon.

Hey Tekken, is there a tutorial for creating the blue "normal maps"?

For instance, If I have created Stings 87 Scorpion tights, insert that texture in the game, the blue map still shows the outline of the old scorpion.

Version 10.3 has been released and has been emailed to everyone who has donated towards X-Packer 10.

 

V 10.3 Features:

 

- Renaming of PC Pac files is supported
- Injection of renders is supported (Open the ltag_typeb.pac file using the Pc Pac File - Pac Containing directories option)

- Extraction of textures from problematic texture archives. (Extract the texture archive by clicking the extract button. Then decompress the texture archive using the Utilities - Decompress File With Header Using Zlib).

- Added additional attire values for the Misc.pac editor
