the King Lives Posted July 15, 2014 Posted July 15, 2014 At least with the long haired one you could use SS Threads to make a Wolfpac Sting with the red face paint why is it that everyone is obsessed with sting in the wolfpack? He was only in there for 5 months then bret hart killed him with the bat and he came back as the stalking sting. So i really don't get the obsession People have different preferences, deal with it. This, I personally prefer that too as it fits well for dream matches. only reason i said that is cause i hate it when i go onto cc and see crow sting mixed with wolfpac and tna sting... Quote

Would be a good way to do simulation videos of the past Quote

hovathagod32 Posted July 16, 2014 Posted July 16, 2014 The renders are cool but I hope they don't use that paint with the singlet and go with starrcade's... Being very high on accuracy, he never really wore those together. That paint was during 97 and the singlet is from 98-Beyond Quote

One jet black no designs and the other was the scorpion on the front. I'm sure its only for the render as they normally do mix and match things on them like previous years. The attires are normally match/ppv specific. That picture they used doesn't have the scorpion on the side of the singlet. The Surfer Sting render is more interesting as those are his pre-88 tights which are not as well known. They also Photoshoped the paint from the Starrcade 1989 video cover (Can't remember the exact match he used it in) on the attire and changing the colour off them. But as I said, they are normally more accurate with the in-game model itself. Just look at the Outsiders Kevin Nash render to the in-game model from 2K14. Edited July 16, 2014 by jcsix Quote
King87 Posted July 16, 2014 Posted July 16, 2014 Jus be happy we have sting in a game and its not a tna dreamcast royal rumble wanna be bs type game. Smh jus like Goldberg. Everyone wanted him in another current game but then turned around and still complained about him once in a game..some ppl jus can't be pleased no matter wat. Imo i can careless about his attire im a fan of sting period. 2k and everyone else included in making 15 thank u. Been playin wwf/wwe games since Nintendo the 1st one. Im marking out over how far these games have came so ima luv the game model no matter wat especially after they get these graphics update. I hate it for current gen players cus i have a feelin 2k has something up their sleeve for us thats gonna b epic Quote

He used it after StarrCade 97 for around two months then went to the StarrCade 97 style scoprion on his normal singlet. Then to the standard singlet we all know, back to the StarrCade version of the singlet (Alittle different with a longer tail), then to the Wolfpac (Two versions). Quote

Going through episodes of Nitro through 96-98.. There were 2 pre Starrcade attires he wore (WCW vs The World cover and the one in my profile pic) 96-97. Starrcade 97 attire. The all black singlet 98, front scorpion signlet (this is where his more current paint started showing up) then the white side scorpion one similar to the one in the render photo right before he joined wolfpac and turned it red... All-in-all I'm hyped lol.. Can't wait to see it in action to see if they reanimated the splash or give him his no sell comeback like Hogan. Edited July 16, 2014 by hovathagod32 Quote

tekken57 Posted July 16, 2014 Posted July 16, 2014 I found the face textures on goldberg and hall to be bland and generic. Don't even get me started on Steiners face, I've seen caws with more detail. Quote

I'm such a big Sting (and nWo Sting) fan and just happy to see him in the game, and with modding him for WWF No Mercy, I'm forever finding new stuff to add. I do remember a video of the picture in your profile picture as alot of sting pictures are flipped around, so I'm not 100% sure until I find it again if that was another attire. But hes had alot of variations of the singlet with scoprions down the legs (Bigger, claws touching, black design inside the white etc.). I wouldn't be worried about the in-game model being a mix and match though as they are usually accurate compared to the render. They go all the way of photoshopping an image for the render to match the in-game model but still don't edit some stuff on them (Outsiders Nash's hair as it was a current picture and Steiners was a WWE picture). The actual picture(s) of the Surfer Sting render for example, guess they didn't want two balck and white renders for him. Even though they could of used other pictures: The image is flipped on the bottom two, He never had the single scorpion on his left leg. Edited July 16, 2014 by jcsix Quote
best in the world Posted July 16, 2014 Posted July 16, 2014 Quite honestly, 2K14's in game models were as impressive as older Smackdown games' models. Specifically SD:SYM or SD:HCTP both had better in game models especially for guys like Goldberg, Scott Steiner, and Hollywood Hogan. Their facial animations & mannerisms were all better in the older games as well. Maybe with 2K upgrading the graphics this year, we will see a big improvement to the in-game models themselves. Quote

the King Lives Posted July 17, 2014 Posted July 17, 2014 just thought of somethng, since we have audibles for taunts now wouldn't it be awesome if we actually had sting's "wooooo" taunt with sound? as far as models vs renders goes yeah hopefully they're really accurate. i remember when we got nash and hall last year wearing nWo shirts in renders and scott steiner wearing the chain mail and nWo shirt and none of the 3 had nWo shirts. I was cool with hall/nashs attires but steiner really needed an nWo shirt. ah well lol Quote
best in the world Posted July 17, 2014 Posted July 17, 2014 @jeffsdomain: YES!!! I loved that on the N64 AKI WCW games Sting had his audible WOOO taunt. Just like Macho Man's OHHH YEEAAHHH! They need more of those in-game because that would only add to the realism. Not to mention just being awesome additions.... Quote
kidsampson Posted July 17, 2014 Posted July 17, 2014 I'm sure we'll see more of those improvements in the audio department, as this has been a priority for 2K games on the whole. Their sports games focus on these environmental details. Another thing I hope they do with Sting, if we do in fact get a WCW mode, is implement some of the elements from this year's Streak mode. For example, the lights cutting out and Sting appearing behind your wrestler in the ring. On the whole, I hope this year's game has more of the difficulty level seen in the Streak mode throughout all game modes. These games are always too easy to be maintain interest long. Quote
jcsix Posted July 17, 2014 Posted July 17, 2014 Regarding the surfer render too, the image was also photoshopped for the new GAB DVD (Thanks nWo_mark for the picture) Quote
