Tamer™ Posted August 8, 2014 Posted August 8, 2014 The only matches I had fun playing was a Fatal 4 Way and a Ultimate X Match. That's just about it as the rest of the game is just horrible. (other than career mode) Quote
fufu ÷ Posted August 8, 2014 Posted August 8, 2014 TNA was easily the most fun wrestling game since HCTP. Gameplay was great for multiplayer. Quote

Fozy Posted August 8, 2014 Posted August 8, 2014 You guys are fuuuuuucking idiots. You wanna know why TNA was better than the WWE games? It played better. It didn't feel stilted as shit, it felt like a wrestling game, not a who can reverse better game. Fucking garbage games. If TNA got a sequel, it would have shit ALL fucking over the WWE games. Quote

What's wrong with Ying, that he has a different opinion and doesn't like the way that you jump to the conclusion that your opinion is fact without any of it being a joke, a persona, or sarcasm? the WWE games have always been more about the customization rather than gameplay and TNA has no customization what so ever. I'm more interested in the stories of wrestling than the matches and with the gameplay of WWE, sure it has its problems, but it is still fun to me. But hey, we have differing opinions and you're not a fucking idiot. You're into them for the gameplay and challenge, I like making stories and customization. Happy with my argument now? 1 Quote

I'll just say it was the first game in the franchise. The first Smackdown! came out and it was lauded for it's customisability and fantastic Create a Wrestler feature. I guess I was wrong. Quote

TheHippopotomus Posted August 9, 2014 Posted August 9, 2014 Eh, I didn't care for the TNA game. Lack of online modes, customization, and differing character styles kill it. I'd say it was a pretty shit game. Not to say every Smackdown game hasn't been shit since HCTP. I'm still a WCW Revenge/ No Mercy guy. Those games just kept getting better and better. It blows my mind that they scrapped it for Smackdown which was sooooooo bad back then. The No Mercy stuff had the pacing right. Felt like wrestling. If they progressed another 14 years it would be a world better than SD that really only brought creation modes to the next level and have been in reverse for a long time. Hell the Day of Reckoning games were way better than SD. Quote
fufu ÷ Posted August 9, 2014 Posted August 9, 2014 Original SD games were amazing. No Mercy was awesome, but I always preferred the Smackdown games. Mostly because No Mercy's controls were horrendous. Only really good for multiplayer. Quote

Otherwise it becomes pretty boring and depressing, something that's not happened to me when playing WWE Games. Quote

Mostly because No Mercy's controls were horrendous. Only really good for multiplayer. Great multiplayer modes are what I value most in games. Especially in wrestling games since I'm getting older and not many of my friend watch wrestling anymore. Nothing beats a match with 3 players that know what they are doing. It just can't be replicated by CPU. Especially heel tactics. The biggest problem I have with WWE games lately, other than spamming the counter button, is the horrible tag mode. How you can leave the apron and attack the other guy all match. How is that still possible after all of these years? Quote
