Matchup Screens now working *Tutorial Added*

I've spent countless hours trying to get this to work and finally I have succesfully modded a matchup screen.. It's late here now so I will up a tutorial tomorrow :)

Tutorial for editing MatchHD.pac

1. Follow the usual process of extracting the textures within MatchHD.pac

2. Open up the file in Photoshop and use the current DDS file as a template for the new image.

3. This is the important part! all images used need to be under 100kb for the new image to be succesfully imported. If the file size is any higher it will not compress enough and the compress/injection will fail.

4. Remove the original template and save your new image to DXT5 0 Mip Maps(this seems to be the common setting for anything in MatchHD.pac as well as the MenuLayHD.pac (this is where the title screen is located I believe).

5. Inject and compress as normal.

There are a bunch of other objects within the Pachs themselves that contain the textures, which can be used to enhance the look or you can mask them out by editing the alpha channel, the blue bars in the image below for example will need to be masked out if not being used.

I tried today replacing in-game renders, but no luck, transparent. Maybe I did a mistake in some part.

Maybe a PS3 thing then? the PS3 version of WWE2K14 has been a complete pain to mod at times.

I believe so. The fun fact is that I used the PS3 MatchHD.pac file on my 360 version because I'm tired of decompress files.

forgive the ignorance, what is the usual process for extracting the textures in MatchHD.pac?

Same way you do for any other extract pac, uncompress bpe/zlib

Full-fledged Monday Night Wars game mod - as last year's game should have been?

Exactly, I'm still tinkering with the title screen :) I'll be posting the full intro in the WWE13 in the next couple of days. Since the WWE12/13 arena trons don't seem to work in 14 I thought I'd mod 13 instead. Although i am still working on the Rumble 94 project for 14 too so busy on all fronts :)

is there any way we can apply the menu screen for wwe 13 to 2k14? I like the design and color scheme better

If you found the images and resize them, probably yes. But you need to merge the X in the background.

You can import the images yes, but as for the animations and such you can't.

as long as you save them as an image file under 100kb before you convert them to DDS yes.

Im using photoshop and I cant figure out how to  shrink image file size
