I'm glad you guys enjoyed the work I put into the game this year. The community participation has really made the game enjoyable and this is the longest I've played a WWE in a number of years due the number of cool mods and community dlc's.

 

I created a yobj format tut on my site and here: . This should shed some light on the format for those wanting to mess around with the shaders.

 

@waleed619, I tried a number of bases but none looked like Angle facially. Warrior was the closest match. You can mod a base model as much as you want but it will never look as good as one created by yukes as they do not individually sculpt the models like we are doing. The use body scans which makes the models look much closer than we can get.

@Waleed 619: I used "moveset man", I think with his (Tekken's angle)face n the body I used(and tweaked the hell out of....)would make a perfect angle.  "just my opinion". :D

@waleed, I tried moveset man before warrior and the face looks nothing like Angles. The face also has less bones so the animations look wierd. After trying a number of bases, warrior was the closest face wise and I prefer having the face more accurate rather than the body more accurate. I already put four weeks of work into this mod, so I won't be doing another Angle mod.

 

@bluemonkeymagic, you only need the section in the arc for the renders. Look at the render tutorial for more info.

RVD

 

Started with a new base as the old just wasn't looking much like RVD facially to me. Still have TONS of work to do on this one. The texture needs a lot of work on the face and I haven't even started working on the texture for the body as yet.

 

Also haven't touched the morphing on the body as yet.

 

Also need to make the hair darker and tweak the shape of the hair more. The face actually looks more accurate to me without the 3d hair but the 3d hair looks so much better in game.

 

Suggestions for improvements on the face welcome

I think it looks better without the 3D hair, but I can see why you'd need that in game. Is it Austin as a base?

Thanks guys. The hair is looking off because it's changing the shape of the top of the head. As a result it doesn't look like his hair is slicked back.

It's a trade of though as it looks awesome in motion and only looks a bit off when zooming into the face on still shots.

The base is SCSa meaning that I'll have a lot of work to do on the body. Didn't realize that there is no mesh under his knee brace so I have extra work there also.

Thank god you are fixing RVD.

He look 100x better. I like the 3d hair better.

You are one lucky guy , im gonna save you a day or 2 because i already have take out the knee brace. Im gonna send it to you later

Van Dam's coming along nicely. Austin was an interesting choice to go with for the base, but it works for the face. I do think the eyes need to be spread apart a bit and that the face in general seems rather small in proportion to the head. As for the hair, maybe try tucking the front portion of it into the model's head so it gradually meshes into it. That way you could have the 3D parts without losing the shaping of his head. Overall, this is turning out really well. Great work as usual, dude.

Really looking forward to this RVD. I wasn't going to play 2K14 anymore (Xbox isn't even hooked up anymore) but I may have to after you released that Angle. Need to figure out how to add new dudes into the game though; never tried that when I was modding.

@bugsy, please send the edited model without the knee braces, it will really save me some time.

 

@ote, going to look at the changes you suggested. I'm not sure if you can move the eyes further apart because they are rigged to bones and it may mess the animations up. Thus far I've only changed the shape of the eyes. I'll try it though and see what happens. I've already fixed the hairline based on you suggestion and it looks much better. Will see if I can shape the hair a bit more.

Never even thought about that being an issue. I've moved the eyes around before, and it never seemed to cause any issues with the animation of the face. You just have to be careful of making sure they're back far enough, otherwise they can look fine when the eyes are open, but if they blink or shut their eyes, the eyeball will still be sticking through the eyelid. But, yeah. Other than that it never caused any problems.

Benoit is a Community DLC 4 exclusive just for people who purchased Tekkens programs.

@ote, that's the animation I was talking about. It looks like a cartoon with the eyes popping out of the socket lol. Will try moving the eyes about.

@redrooster, will look for the alt attire. Can't remember why I didn't include it with the dlc. It's a simple palette swap so I'll just post the texture.
