the enforcer Posted November 9, 2003 Posted November 9, 2003 (edited) Once again you are the man....... Great work EDIT: The moves work great, but there does seem to be one catch. If you try to go into the create moveset screen, the game will freeze if you try to edit anything that has an unknown value in it. For instance, I have Sweet Chin Music 3 as a ready strike, and if I try to edit the ready strikes the game freezes. Same goes for the Lower grapples. I have the Angle Lock 2 as a lower grapple, and the game freezes when I try to view my lower grapples. I can view and edit the areas that I haven't altered, just not the ones that are hacked. It also doesn't matter if I have the codes turned on or not, because I already saved the data. Even with the codes turned off it freezes. Otherwise, they work GREAT ! tokidoim Posted November 9, 2003 Author Posted November 9, 2003 Updated with complete ( I think ) Move mods Good Job, enforcer. Did you do it the hard way ( one by one ) or the easy way ( put in a bunch of codes where the move values coincide with the offsets ) ? In any case, it's great to see others taking initiative in actually hacking instead of just looking at labels and ussuming that they have the knowledge to do something with them! nosig Quote

competergames v1 Posted November 9, 2003 Posted November 9, 2003 (edited) WHOOOO! Tokidiom, I just realized something; with those "ability mod" codes of yours, I now have what I've been asking for since the first SmackDown! game... GAMEPLAY SPEED MOD code(s)! Even though I'll have to go through each SuperStar, etc. individually, setting the speeds of Super-Heavyweights like Big Show, Kane, etc. = "0" and Lightweights like Rey Mysterio, Hurricane, etc. = "5", will make them all move the way they are/were supposed to i.e. in real life! FINALLY! So now there's only one left to hack to make SmackDown!'s gameplay as "realistic" as it possibly can be... REMOVAL OF THE ROLL-UP/SOMERSAULT ANIMATION code(s)! Someday, but 'til then... THANKS-A-MILL' TOKIDIOM! IMO, even "Mr. CMGSCCC.com" CMX's codes can't out-do your's here! Late... :sleep Edited November 9, 2003 by competergames v1 Quote
the enforcer Posted November 9, 2003 Posted November 9, 2003 Good Job, enforcer. Did you do it the hard way ( one by one ) or the easy way ( put in a bunch of codes where the move values coincide with the offsets ) ? In any case, it's great to see others taking initiative in actually hacking instead of just looking at labels and ussuming that they have the knowledge to do something with them! The only hard part was figuring out which moves to use to test, since the game freezes when you try to edit the moveset with incorrect values in it....... Anyway, I'm just glad I was able to help. I sat back and waited and watched for your posts for SYM, I felt like I should've done more. And, since I pretty much understood the concept behind the modifiers, I just needed that first bit you put out for HCTP and I was off....... Now, all I need is the offsets for the Superstars so I can REALLY mess some people up. If there's anything I can do to help, let me know. Until then, Happy Hacking....... Quote
tokidoim Posted November 10, 2003 Author Posted November 10, 2003 (edited) Updated with Superstar base addys, Season Ability Points mods, and Name mods. I hope you all appreciate this, I'm missing a lot of TV, and I haven't even gotten to USE any of this stuff, yet! enforcer : what I did was put in, like about 40 codes at a time and used 1420 for Special 1 ( offset 20 ) 1422 for Special 2 ( offset 22 ) 1424 for the next line ( nothing there ) 1426 for the next line , submission grapple ( offset 26 ) etc. Then when I started the game, all I had to do was try out all my moves in exhibition. Whenever I did something I wasm't supposed to do, I just figured out which animation I was doing from the NUMERICAL MOVE LIST ( thanx, bro ) and the last digits were the offset. tokidoim Posted November 10, 2003 Author Posted November 10, 2003 (edited) -------------------- Practical for CAW 1's Signature Grapple Up to be the Last Ride -------------------- 2 things to keep in mind while you're doing this: 1> The first 8 digits of the 16-digit code are the ADDRESS and the last 8 digits are the VALUE 2> The CODE BOX is different from the HEX OFFSET BOX-make sure you're putting the numbers in the right box Follow along : 1 - Open up kpdavatar's code converter thingy 2 - Scroll down and select the BCA99B83 button 3 - Scroll up and select the HEX button 4 - Find the address of the superstar you want to modify on the first page of the Wrestler Mods thread CAW 1 : 004B6460 5 - Clear the Code box and put the address in Code Box should read 004B6460 6 - Find the offset for the characteristic you want to modify 1000003C : Signature Grapple Up 7 - Clear the Hex Offset box and put the offset in Hex Offset Box should read 1000003C 8 - Click the Add Offset button This should make the Code box read 104B649C 00000000 9 - Find the value that represents what you want to change the characteristic to Values : 0000???? This means the first 4 digits of the last 8 digits are 0000 and the last 4 digits of the last 8 digits determine the move. ( If the characteristic's value says 000000?? then the last 2 digits determine the characteristic. ) Click the link and find your move TheLastRide 13C8 10 - Replace the last 4 digits of the VALUE in the CODE BOX with the value The Code box should read 104B649C 000013C8 This is the HEX NTSC code to make CAW 1's Signature Grapple Up be the Last Ride 11 - Convert from NTSC ( US ) to PAL ( Europe ) if necessary. Otherwise skip to step 12 NTSC to PAL conversion : - Clear the HEX OFFSET box and put in 00000300 - Click the Sub Offset button This should make the Code box read 104B619C 000013C8 This is the HEX PAL code to make CAW 1's Signature Grapple Up be the Last Ride 12 - Select the button for your cheat device ( AR2 (and GS2v2 or earlier) button, CB2 Button, or GSv3 button ) ----AR2 (and GS2v2 or earlier)---- If you skipped step 11, the Code box should read CEB39212 BCA9AE4B This is the AR2 (and GS2v2 or earlier) NTSC code to make CAW 1's Signature Grapple Up be the Last Ride If you converted to PAL, the Code box should read CEB39D12 BCA9AE4B This is the AR2 (and GS2v2 or earlier) PAL code to make CAW 1's Signature Grapple Up be the Last Ride ----CB2---- If you skipped step 11, the Code box should read 1AD51B74 000013C8 This is the CB2 NTSC code to make CAW 1's Signature Grapple Up be the Last Ride If you converted to PAL, the Code box should read 1AD51B71 000013C8 This is the CB2 PAL code to make CAW 1's Signature Grapple Up be the Last Ride ----GSv3---- If you skipped step 11, the Code box should read 14C03E7A 34F883B8 This is the GSv3 NTSC code to make CAW 1's Signature Grapple Up be the Last Ride If you converted to PAL, the Code box should read 14803E7A 34F881B8 This is the GSv3 PAL code to make CAW 1's Signature Grapple Up be the Last Ride -------------------- This method works the same with all the characteristics. the enforcer Posted November 10, 2003 Posted November 10, 2003 Updated with Superstar base addys, Season Ability Points mods, and Name mods. I hope you all appreciate this, I'm missing a lot of TV, and I haven't even gotten to USE any of this stuff, yet! I know that I for one REALLY appreciate your hard work. I think you've just about covered everything, go ahead and enjoy your work for awhile. If you're interested, I've almost finished creating the codebreaker codes for the entire movesets for all 32 CAWs. Let me know if you want me to PM or email them to you. Thanks again the enforcer Quote
tokidoim Posted November 10, 2003 Author Posted November 10, 2003 I'm using AR2. I started with GSv3, but it sucked for hacking. I would have gotten a CB2, but they were off the market by then. I can't even find one online. The whole idea was to have the least amount of encryption. So now I only rarely use kpdavatar's converter when I'm making codes. If you go to the Encryption Tab on that page it shows you how the code is encrypted. I just copied down the chart and use that when I'm putting in codes. If you want to post all that in a separate thread, I'll link to it from the Wrestler Mods thread so CB2 owners can get it easier. nosig Quote
the enforcer Posted November 10, 2003 Posted November 10, 2003 You can't get any version of the Codebreaker? I see the new version 7.0 on the shelf fairly often. I haven't picked one up yet because I'm really comfortable with my version 4.0. As far as the CAW movesets, it would be a HUGE post, but if enough people ask I'll probably go ahead and post it. Again, I can't thank you enough for your help and hard work. I'm actually learning a little bit how to do this now....... Quote
tokidoim Posted November 10, 2003 Author Posted November 10, 2003 The newest versions of CB have more encryption than AR2, so I'm stickin' with it until it ( or I ) dies. nosig Quote
KMinus Posted November 10, 2003 Posted November 10, 2003 Addys need to be switched. Shooting Star Press 2 is Diving Headbut 2. Diving Headbut 2 is Shooting Star Press 1. Shooting Star Press 1 is Shooting Star Press2. So this most likely means that the digits are NOT the same. (wow, deja vu... :| ) Quote
Motionman949 Posted November 10, 2003 Posted November 10, 2003 Can U guys tell me the code to change Triple H theme song to the old one the one with the cut to macth its entrance? Quote
TheRob Posted November 10, 2003 Posted November 10, 2003 Well, I can verify that the Book End they removed, the one without the taunt, is not the same value if it is still even in the game. If not, then I guess this proves it. When I did my Smackdown! both wrestlers just kinda froze there in the last position they were in before I hit L1. They just stood there blinking, it was actually pretty funny looking. But I had to quite the match. Quote
KMinus Posted November 10, 2003 Posted November 10, 2003 I think it would be more convenient if the NEW addys were posted. Quote
