It's not the only forum, there's been a few in other forums. Some of them are even very sneakily hidden inside topics as replies.

The entire problem would be solved if certain admins didn't validate accounts with names like muerdo001, onlinecasino999, onestopsexoncom etc.

i can assure you that its not me, i check out the new names, granted some are hard to judge, but i do delete alot of obvious accounts and make a few judgement calls.

i have also disabled posting for 3 members so far.

They're all different IP's, so IP banning is as useless as taking away their posting privileges. We also are monitoring who we authorize to post. But even then, some manage to escape by. It's going to take a little time. We've been through this in other posts. Hell, there's a topic that you could've easily replied to.

Great question. I'm not making any assumptions here. But I can tell you who it wasn't. Aero or myself. We're the one's who have been specifically monitoring this because we're sick of this shit just as much as everyone else. I can't answer for Supa, Paul, or Matt.

They delete them, eventually, but 70% of the time there's 2 or 3 spam topics just sitting in general chat for hours on end before a mod finally spots it.

Lets not exaggerate the issue, and yes it is an issue I'm not sugar coating it like argh i can't bear to say it....crunk (change the name). 70% of the time there aren't any spam topics. I've only ever seen two at the one time and that was just two days ago, the older of the two was deleted 2 hours after it was posted. I've seen one that was 5 hours old, that was the longest I'd seen one last on the page after this was identified as an ongoing problem and not just a short term issue.

What members can do to help is to not reply to them, unless I don't like you then feel free to and I'll enjoy disabling your posting ability.

Mods will continue to delete the offending topics ASAP, not when "a mod finally spots it", we only live half our lives on here sorry I can't dedicate the full 24 hours a day.

Admins will do their part by unadmin'ing ....crunk (please man I'm begging you to change the name) now that he's been identified as the guy verifying the spam accounts.

Adding one of those input the letters and numbers from the squiggly picture when signing up may also help. Beyond that - no Iain there is no magic solution. fucking hell.
