The Don Posted February 28, 2005 Posted February 28, 2005 Yeah so I'm lookin to buy a laptop, rounder and wireless network so I can work on-line and play X-Box Live from the comfert of my room. I got a good idea of what I need for the router & network (feel free to add suggestions however) but I dunno if this computer will fill my needs or not. Linkage!!!!1 I basicly want it for online, typing papers for school and burning CDs/DVDs. Think that'll work? It seems a bit heavy but it's not like I'll be carring it around much. Also I'm not looking for a desktop, we have one already, don't wanna spend that much and I don't have room in my room for it. I'll be heading out in about 2 or 3 hours to best buy to blow cash so I'd like it if you'd keep it here atleast that long... LEGEND!
tokidoim Posted February 28, 2005 Posted February 28, 2005 Well, that's the thing with laptops. You really get what you pay for. As long as you're sure you're not going to be running any RAM-sucking Apps, you should be fine. If it turns out that you want to install powerful graphics software or something else that needs to keep a lot of information in storage, you'll be slow and overloaded. nosig
The Don Posted February 28, 2005 Author Posted February 28, 2005 Eh, maininly MSN, Kazaa and Firefox. And the bare neccseties like Winamp and Nero.
Fozy Posted February 28, 2005 Posted February 28, 2005 Just get a DELL, they're awesome with Laptops, and just ask for the shit you want, DVD/CD RW etc.
The Don Posted February 28, 2005 Author Posted February 28, 2005 I gotta nice Toshiba one. I need to run back to best buy and get another ethernet coard so I can get online. If I can't figure it out I'll have to call my brother and beg him to come help. One way or another I'll hopefully be online with it tonight. When I get some time I'll find a link to it for ya'll. Nice big screen on it with a CDRW/DVD drive and some funky speakers where it's almost like srround sound.
tokidoim Posted March 1, 2005 Posted March 1, 2005 The wife's got a Toshiba. The price was pretty nice, but they're also a little fragile, so be careful when lugging it around. nosig
The Don Posted March 1, 2005 Author Posted March 1, 2005 I can't seem ti link the computer and the laptop... I dunno WTF is up.
