Yeah I can help you...

Once you've transferred the .max save to your Max Drive using the PC software close the program down and remove the Max Drive from the USB port.

Turn on your Playstation making sure either there is no disc in the tray or that the tray is open.

Access your PS2 memory manager. Delete any of the unwanted game saves or copy them to another card if you want to keep your own files (if there are any).

Now insert the Max Drive and keep the memory card you're going to add the new code list to in slot 1 before inserting and loading the AR Max CD.

Once the AR Max CD has loaded go to Max memory.

At the main menu of Max memory go to 'choose device'...select the Max Drive.

Once you have the contents of your Max Drive displayed highlight the save file (on the left) and select it using x. The box next to the file should now have a tick in it.

Go to the right now and you will see a list of commands. Choose 'copy' and then when you see the devices you want to click on memory card slot 1.

The data will transfer from the Max Drive to the memory card (may take a minute or two if it's a big file, SDvsRAW won't take long though)

Once this is done return to 'choose device' and select memory card 1.

Because it's a .max file it means it's crushed. you need to again select the .max file on the left and this time select 'uncrush' from the right hand menu.

Because you have copied from the Max Drive instead of moving it you can just delete the crushed file on the memory card once the file has been uncrushed.

Return to the main menu of the Max Memory section.

Turn off your console and remove the Max Drive device but keep the memory card with your save on in the card slot.

Now simply boot your game and it should read and load your save file.

If this doesn't work try the process again...if it's not working after that it may be corrupt data (it will usually say, it does in the case of SDvsRAW anyway)

I have, myself had a few problems with AR Max and my machine grinds sometimes using the PS2 software. I'm not too pleased about it coz it could be damaging my PS2.

Before getting the Max Drive I used the CD-R approach. I followed the instructions from the official AR site and it NEVER worked!

Also I was trying to update my codelist and the first time it worked but the second time the default list opened instead. I repeated the transfer process from the Max drive to memory card and when I tried looking at the PS2 mem manager it had 'no data' and 800kb free. I LOST MY OWN CAW OF MYSELF IN MY STAGE-GEAR AND ALL MY FIFA 2005 CAREER AND PERSONAL SAVE DATA (UNLOCKED STUFF N OPTIONS ETC)!!!

NOT HAPPY!!!

I eventually got the max drive and the arv to work but it said the save was wrong! do anyone know where I can get a working save???

could be a regional problem (eg you may be in an NTSC area and have a PAL save). that is fixable although im not sure how you should search on google for such a thing.

I have found some on www.gamefaqs.com for pal and ntsc! They have loads for all games on most platforms. I will try and download them and see if they work.

New game news on 4th July! Cant wait!

Yeah I've had problems with corrupted files all the time and I can get my max drive to work the first time but as soon as I reboot the software again with the memory card in (with the updated list on) it displays the default list. I am absolutely annoyed at Datel for their MAX products not being totally efficient.

Worse still I've had no problems with my PS2 and have had no issues with games not loading or causing my PS2 to make horible grinding noises (even the WWE games that were prone to this) and yet my AR MAX disc has caused mine to grind, not eject the disc when I press eject the first time (have to press it twice) and now my PS2 is grinding all the time...oh and by the way it won't load anything, it's basically AR MAX that's now knackered my PS2 to the point it just doesn't work!

Yes I'm going to complain to Datel. Their faulty software has messed my PS2 up and it's not like I have mistreated it. I look after all my property, especially electronic goods. I AM FUMING!

Hope no one else has had this happen but if they have LET ME KNOW, because I will make it known that I'm not the only case if this is so!
