Ai Ladder Matches are broken, and exploitable

I feel like I have ladder matches that ended too short because the ai is down for too long, or there slow at stopping them, or they keep climbing to stop them in a one on one match, and rarley do they push the ladder. (is only when theres more people they do it, where they should be climbing more often.) They also even ignore the person getting the title, and often pause for too long before even considering to stop them, which waste time and would have cost them the match.
Often they get the prize without issue, it makes it boring.

What difficulty are you playing on? I noticed there's a big difference between difficulty settings.
