Help Needed Reinstalling DLC Sound File Back Into DLC

Many of you know that I've been editing and modding the audio files in 2K14, adding tons of custom commentary with Jesse Ventura and Gorilla Monsoon. Editing the Comm.pck and Game_Sound_M.pck files is straightforward enough.....open them in Sound Editor, create new WEMS using the 2015 build of WWise, import the WEMS and then drop the .pck files back into the game. No prob.

I'm having a trickier time with the sound file (DLC_03.pck) from the DLC. I've opened the DLC in LeFluffie, clicked on 'Contents', clicked on 'Sound', extracted the DLC_03.pck and opened it in Sound Editor all with no problems. I've created new WEMS for much of the commentary in it (which has a lot of Bruno Sammartino, Jake The Snake Roberts, etc.) and I know the WEMS work because I can play them in Sound Editor.

Where I'm running into an issue is reinstalling the DLC_03.pck back into the DLC and getting it to work in the game. I'm sure it's a small step I'm missing in LeFluffie, but I'm not sure what it is. Could someone please walk me through the steps on re-injecting files back into LeFluffie? When I add my newly editing DLC_03.pck sound file back in, do I need to 'inject file' it or 'replace file'? After that, when I click on 'security', do I need to click 'verify' or 'fix'? Do I need to click 'rebuild' on the 'main' tab in LeFlufflie?

Any help would be most appreciated!

I would assume it is similar to replacing the string.pac in DLC. I copied and pasted this from the strings tutorial. Obviously the file you are replacing has a different name than what is being described, but hopefully you get the gist.

34)   Right click the string.pac file in the Le Fluffie viewing window

35)   Select “Inject File”

36)   Browse to the string.pac file you made with X Packer, hit Open

37)   Click the Security Tab and select “Sign for Dev Live”

38)   Click the “Fix” Button

39)   Close Le Fluffie

40)   Transfer the DLC back to your Xbox

One other thing to consider if the above doesn't work...is your new DLC-03.pck larger in size than the original? If so, I don't think it will work. The reason I say this is because I have actually tried to replace the wrestler pac files (i.e. Big E, Fandango, etc.) with other models. It would only work if the file I replaced it with was the same size or slightly smaller. I hope I am wrong, but the game may crash if the DLC file is larger than the original.

Thanks for the info, I'll give this a go! I'm hoping it's not the size issue, because it's extremely hard to make new WEMS that aren't larger than what I'm replacing.

@stlpowercat Yep, you were totally correct....the issue seems to lie with size. When I injected a new WEM over Bruno Sammartino's call name with one that was smaller, it worked. But when I injected one that was just slightly larger, it didn't play anything. Tried this a few times to test my theory and it seemed to be consistent. At least now I know that 1) WEMS can in fact be injected into the DLC sound file and 2) what keeps them from working.

The trick now will be creating commentary WEMS that are smaller than the ones I'm trying to replace. It'll be a challenge because they always seem to turn out larger, even when I keep them around the same time length as the ones I replace. Could be my WWise settings, such as Vorbis quality....will have to play around and test things out.

But thank you so much for helping me to get this figured out!
