getting random characters

whenever i go to sdb editor to change the name of a modded character, save the sdb and bake it, and load up my game i get a bunch of random characters which i didnt want to get like "typhoon" or "zombie banks" and i believe that their ports from wwe 2k20, is there a fix

Those characters showing up aren't related to editing the SDB itself -- I assume you started using the placeholder mod to install mods in unused slots? Those are the "placeholders" -- they're empty until you install characters into them, and you end up putting characters into those slots and renaming the names like "Typhoon", "Zombie Banks", etc into the character you put in that slot.
