My controller is controlling both characters at once!! Please help!

All of the sudden this started happening my Xbox controller is acting as both player one and 2, makes it really difficult to select my character and when it a match it jumps into player one and 2 randomly.... Does anyone know a fix for this? is it just because i installed to many mods or is there a way to solve this?

Could it be that you've turned on a setting in Xbox Accessories or Steam Input Settings (globally or for that particular game) where you can use multiple controllers as controller 1 for sort of co-op play? I'm not sure what the settings are called, but they have been added recently.

Well i am using a wireless xbox controller with my pc, it works fine on any other game i play.... So its only affecting this game,

I also facing the same problem with this game only. I was preoccupied assisting my cousin's sister in looking for cv services uk. She nabbed me as I fled my house undetected. She also requests my assistance in finding a resume writing service online in exchange.
