Gamesave Accessible For 2 Accounts on Same Console?

My son is 11, and is too young for a 2K account, so he can't get access to cross-platform content to download like I can. I tried setting him up with a 2K account and that was where  we discovered he's too young. That said, I notice we can't share the same gamesave, so if I were to download everything, set up a universe, etc, it appears he wouldn't be able to use the save unless he's signed as me. Is this correct, or is there a way for him to be able to share the save so he can have access to the downloaded content, created universe, etc? I don't have the time to play unfortunately, so it only makes more sense to set things up for him to use. Otherwise, I set up his 2K account with a BS birthyear.
