paulrudoff Posted November 10, 2004 Posted November 10, 2004 I'm planning on making a music extraction guide for this game like I did for the three previous SD games. However, unlike the previous games, I didn't buy this one. After being initially disappointed with HCTP, though I grew to like it, I decided to rent all future WWE games first (and buy if I *really* like it). So, I have SvR out on rental, but as you can imagine, it's just the CD. I need all of the music credits listed in the back of the manual to help identify the music on the CD. If someone here can transcribe all of the text from the music credits section, post it here, and also e-mail it to me, I'd greatly appreciate it. Quote
DRAVEN Posted November 10, 2004 Posted November 10, 2004 Dude its the same as your guide for HCTP, ie Same file formats so you dont need a new guide I have replaced all original music in the game using you HCPT guide Quote
Smacktalks Posted November 10, 2004 Posted November 10, 2004 I think he just means he wants a list of the music tracks to show whats on the game. Quote
paulrudoff Posted November 12, 2004 Author Posted November 12, 2004 Dude its the same as your guide for HCTP, ie Same file formats so you dont need a new guide I have replaced all original music in the game using you HCPT guide The technique is the same, yes, but the music is obviously different. When I make a guide I like for it to be complete, so I include a list of what songs correlate to what files. Plus with the addition of the superstar voice overs, that's another thing to make a list of. That way if you want a particular song or a particular piece of dialogue, you'd know exactly where it is. I took a quick listen to the music in the game and generally everything sounds good. Glad that the legends have music (except for Andre, but I don't recall him ever having music in real life), but disappointed that some of them are fake (Snuka, Legion of Doom, and Piper). If you want to hear their real themes, or you're planning on somehow putting new music into the game and want the real things, I'm selling copies of my personal compilation CDs at: http://half.ebay.com/cat/buy/inv.cgi?offer...cpid=1254326699 I only have enough blank CDs to make three sets. After I use up all of the blanks, I won't be making anymore copies. So this is definitely a limited time offer. I'm also making copies of a few not-too-commonplace wrestling CDs, which I also will stop making copies of once I use up all of the blanks. * Jerry Lawler - Memphis' Other King http://half.ebay.com/cat/buy/inv.cgi?offer...cpid=1254327148 * Michael Hayes - Off The Streets http://half.ebay.com/cat/buy/inv.cgi?offer...cpid=1254327263 * World Wrestling Theme Library 1 http://half.ebay.com/cat/buy/inv.cgi?offer...cpid=1254327650 * WCW Slam Jam 1 http://half.ebay.com/cat/buy/inv.cgi?offer...cpid=1254327469 * WCW Christmas Brawl http://half.ebay.com/cat/buy/inv.cgi?offer...cpid=1254327744 * WWF Piledriver: The Wrestling Album II http://half.ebay.com/cat/buy/inv.cgi?offer...cpid=1254325611 (when all copies are gone, the links about will present you with "item is no longer available" messages) I hope you don't mind this bit of shilling. DRAVEN Posted November 14, 2004 Posted November 14, 2004 ok but heres some thing you will need to remeber when you extract the music and play it to see how long the track is, say it 60sec, you will not be able to have a song that is 60sec long as it dont fit back in to the AFS file it has to be 59sec for it to work... I have found this to be the same on all the music I have replaced.... other then that it all cool just gets on your nerves when you spend a long time doing it then have problems putting it back in the game...... Smacktalks Posted November 15, 2004 Posted November 15, 2004 Have you sold any of the copies? I was suprised ebay let you sell them, didnt think they'd sell copies on their website. Quote
paulrudoff Posted November 17, 2004 Author Posted November 17, 2004 Have you sold any of the copies? I was suprised ebay let you sell them, didnt think they'd sell copies on their website. I sold like one or two. You wouldn't believe how many bootlegs I find on eBay, mostly DVDs of tv shows taped from tv that haven't been officially released on DVD. All that I've seen aren't advertised as copies, so people may think they're getting an official original. I'm being very honest that it's a copy and that my intentions aren't to do this long term, but just to use up the blank discs I have left that I have no other use for (only 7 remain as of this writing). By the way, anyone have any luck with transcribing the music credits from the manual? If you have an OCR (Optical Character Recognition) program and a scanner, that'll make it REAL easy to get it into computer text. I just saw the game's end credits. Man, was it long and boring. It wasn't cool like SYM's, or at least have a "credit cookie" like HCTP has (the Cena rap). At the *very* end of it was some music credits. I don't know if this is exactly the same as what's in the manual or if one of them is more complete. I videotaped the credits, but I didn't type it up into the computer. At least right now it's better than nothing... though hopefully one of you will help out with something that's already in the computer. Quote
paulrudoff Posted December 5, 2004 Author Posted December 5, 2004 Since no one stepped forth to help me with this simple task, I've had to rely on the in-game end credits text. I just hope it's all correct. So, there's no need to reply to this message anymore. If anyone wants to lock this thread, go right ahead. I won't be checking it anymore. Quote
Supa #2 Posted December 5, 2004 Posted December 5, 2004 Sorry man - I seriously tried to do it but the text recognition program I have didn't work very well because of the background on the page. Quote
