Pofo problems

Hello, I am having difficulties in working with POFO's on 2k22.  I have used the tutorial provided by Blindedbythegrace.  I've tried converting the pofo's to other slots and sometimes just plain leaving them in the slot it was assigned to (such as slot 1000 for Adam Cole or A Black).  I can most times get it to show the name on the roster menu and I can click on someone, change their info to trigger a save. I will reload the game and the character is gone and hasn't saved.  I have the slots unlocked and this problem persists even when I use the NPC slots such as El Mago.  If I click on the character on the roster, most times it crashes to desk top.  Anyone know what is causing this? Or having a similar issue?
