with Steam decomissioning 2k19....will modding tools still require steam?

So  quite a while back...I bought a copy of 2k19 off ebay so I could mod the game (I had already spent the big bucks on the console version and was looking to get a discounted PC version and it never seemed to go in sale at steam....it turns out the version I bought from ebay was a pirate copy and the cc tools wouldn't work with it.  While I kept the install ISO on a portable harddrive , I just  cut my losses and moved on.

Now that STEAM has gotten rid of 2k19?  with the CC tools still require me to "officially " own the game to work?

yeah probably, all those people who created the tools with piracy checks have long retired.

 

However, there are ways to trick those programs. I never bought 19. I'd prob get banned if i say tho
