HELP! Game progress completely reset!

Hello everyone, hope all is well. So i'm a little pissed. I installed Cake Tools 1.14 today and I finally got the chance to start installing some mods. I followed the instructions to the T and was able to "bake" sucussfully....or so it seemed. My Steam was in the process of downloading 1.15 in the midst of this, but I paused it throughout the process.  I launched WWE 2k22 from the CakeTools app, and it brought me to the Drew Gulak tutorial, indicating that I had a brand new save. I closed the game immediately. I opened it again, same thing, blank save. I updated my game to 1.15, I got the prompt to update my save and unfortunatley my old save didn't carry over. Not to mention, my mods didn't even install. Has anyone experienced this? And can anyone help me get back my save?

From what I have read, there is a new version of CakeTool available on PWM Patreon until it's a public release.  Older versions of Caketools will not work on the newest patch of WWE2k22.  I'm in the same boat.  Installed mods in the _mods folder, baked the folder. Started the game, and it's the same stuff with no new mods installed.

You fucked up by launching the game mid update. Your save is gone. Learn your lesson next time. CakeTools wasn't responsible for this, it doesn't touch savedata.

Thank Cave. Lesson learned everyone. I will do that every time I finish playing for now on. I unfortunately couldn't do anything about my save, but I was able to find a back up from a Save I made in April when I switched over from Steam Cloud saves to Regular save so I at least don't have to re do the Mysterio Showcase but now I gotta resize a bunch of Renders and redownload caws again🙃 Thanks everyone.
