So I managed to make Alexa 2020 and Scarlett playable... who else can be made like this? Like any NPC models or variations like Nikki Cross without mask or Steph with loose hair, I know someone uploaded hacked CAWs of those, but can they just be edited like this? Any manager-only character definitely can be made playable by changing 3 flag to 1. And commentators/NPCs can be set from 0 to 1, becoming playable, at least was possible in 2k20.

The last 00 is the gender but the 02 before the zeroes is playable status, set it to 01 to make him playable. Managers have 03 there, so we need to find those and set them to 01 too.

 

This is the character order so you can start from here and scroll forward (I found Cole by looking up Stephanie and just scrolling down until I seen a pattern that looked similar):

 

 

Now to change Bayley's gender and finally kick his ass! XD

Hi, I remember this issue on 2k18 and 2k19 when I made some custom CE scripts to allow "on the fly" male vs female matches to be created in exhibition and universe modes.  When I got to the point of being able to freely select male vs female without any problems, I noticed the males and females don't really fight each other very much.  There was another step to find.  Since the games are so similar each year, and since this is the EXACT problem I remember years ago in the middle of working on my own gender fixes, I am 99.999% sure this can be fixed in the new game too.

 

I don't have 2k22 and I'm not sure if I will get it unless the modding scene becomes as easily functional as 18 and 19 were.  Sadly I can't investigate this specific fix, but I just wanted to give out hope that YES this absolutely can be fixed.   Someone who has time to work with cheat engine can monitor for conditions that change when 2 of the same gender are focused on each other in game, but are different when a male and female are focused on each other.  Maybe some break and trace techniques will be needed, I forget off hand, but it can be done! 

 

If I do get 2k22 and this hasn't been fixed yet, I'll look into it for sure since I consider it a must that I can book male vs female on the fly.  Including universe mode auto-booking male vs female and allowing rivalries, etc...

Specifically: what we have here if you book male vs female directly, men can counter and use specials on women but not regular (or ground) strikes, EXCEPT specific conditions.

From what I gathered, corner and some other situational moves like springboard or ledges, work. Not sure about barricade. Men can't do diving moves against women now.

Also, if you dodge (new action - right button + direction), you can do a regular grab after it. Apparently, dodging resets the targeting state but it plays the animation before you can grab or strike, which is awkward. Modders might want to look into that. If needed, I can show it on video.

All running moves work too.  Heavy strikes sometimes as well, but not full combos.

So, main conditions when male wrestlers can't attack female ones in the game: when both are standing still. OR man standing with woman on the ground. Signatures/finishers are exclusions to all above.

This is not as bad as it was in 2k20 when you couldn't even target women in mixed matches or female managers (that even as a woman) and most attacks defaulted to fist "threat" animation. Interestingly, diving moves were like the only way to attack a female manager in patched 2k20.

Another thing they changed in 2k22 is behavior of men getting out of grabs done by women, this is probably to avoid cheating in mixed matches:

In 2k20 if you played as a woman and put a man on opposing team (or male manager) into carry or submission, him escaping would get HIM disqualified. Auto-win for failing a grab! Even in no-DQ matches, BTW. Now the escape animation doesn't play when men are grabbed by women, she 'lets him go' instead. And yes, setting it to no DQ actually works now. So it's closer to 2k19 than 20 in the way it works here.

@Kasumi  Oh wow, that sounds horrible. lol Now that I think of it, there were a few extra steps back on 18 and 19 too such as an extra value had to be found that handled "carry" functions and then allowed all men/women to carry each other without a problem.  I also now recall having to spend time figuring out a way to make the women bleed after being hit in the head enough times.

So yeah it sounds like they got even worse this year (to be expected) but it still sounds like someone with enough time and dedication can 1 by 1 get a total fix for all those scenarios you described.  I think there MAY have also been another value I had to find and deal with that made women stand/walk like women the correct way, because in the earlier steps the women started to walk like the men.  lol  Layers and layers of BS to uncover with this, but it can be done.

Most problems can be removed by simply switching gender byte for each female character from 1 to 0, except walking animations change, so does voice (2k22 has a lot of grunts) and custom costumes glitch out. That also enables bleeding. In 2k19/20 this method screwed up towers but Universe has separate save.

Otherwise, if we remove restrictions WITHOUT changing gender, then:

Carrying actually works fine, this time it's initiated from collar & elbow tie-up. O/B button now default to that state from which you can do irish whip, 5 light, 5 heavy and 4 carry grapples. So no need to fix carry anymore. What we need is to let men "grab" women for that state. A preemptive dodge lets you do it guaranteed.

And you still need to set it to no-DQ. Trust me, it's not AS bad as it was in 2k20 where they put in 100500 new flags to avoid men hitting women in mixed matches and disqualification was overriding the rules and was effective immediately.

I have yet another question; is it possible to make a non attire version of a regular male superstar or let say AJ Styles and then change there gender into a diva or female and upload it on community creations?                                                                 I’m I trying to do intergender matches on console as my PC isn’t strong enough to run the game smoothly, also changing all male to female is the best way to do  intergender matches against caw female wrestlers… it may not be ideal but it works without glitches in past games. I would do it myself but I’ve been super busy with real life stuff and doing this without a trainer or editor is time consuming…

I think you can upload a gender swap alter attire superstar to comunity creations, but the uploading account might get banned from online later if someone report your upload.

To avoid geting your main account banned, If you are in steam, you can create a new steam acount and a new 2Kacount, then using family share, share the game with this new account and upload the gender swaped superstar there.

To change ther gender, you need to make a search for "Array of byte"

then you chose the first addrses, right click and "browse this memory region"

You will see the the array of bytes, for example Bayley shuld look like this:

Thanks so much for this,  I got it to work.  However, I was trying the method on the video to change Kacy Catanzaro D4 03, I thought I found array of byte, but I could not find the 00 00 00 preceded by 01, just wanted to change her to male. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Well, in WWE 2K22, it's really hard to have a intergender fight. Especially between CAWs..

So.. I saw that you mentioned that there are other values that can be changed, allowing the fight to take place..
Can you share some of them ?
i just know how to change gender, weight classe, if the character is blocked..
If it's only manager.. and if my second attire is manager only or ring attire. So i can use the entrance costumes at the ring.

What i do in WWE 2K19 is..
Example:
I choose my main Female CAW, she is a Female, i don't change that with cheat engine.
Then, i go and choose my oponent, my another male CAW.
He is a guy..
What i do is, change him to female, choose him, and change it back to male.
I do that before the match starts loading. At the Press start to begin the loading to the fight..
When the match starts, my female caw is a female.. and my oponent, the male caw.. is a male.
It works as it should 99% of the time i suppose.

 Here's the example..

Now, with WWE 2K22, the game just made it a lot harder.
If you do the same thing i did in the WWE 2K22, the male CAW can't fight properly.
He can't punch nor combo.. anyway, you guys know about this.
So, there is a way to surpass these limits right now ?

I mean, i know how to do it with the superstars in game.. like John Cena.
For example, i choose my female CAW, and change John Cena to female with Cheat Engine.
Yeah.. it works, he don't crash. But his walking and running animation change to a female.
And a few more animations too..
Anyway, sorry my english. Noob brazilian here trying to share and gain a little Knowledge.

Sincerely sorry but we are in the same problem as you and I don't think there is a solution to ensure that male wrestlers are not blocked against a female opponent, if there is a way I invite that it is described on this topic, except for the fact of changing the sex of a wrestler because for the CAW it does not work.
