OllyEntertainment Posted March 12, 2022 Posted March 12, 2022 I never tried looking for mods around launch time. Just curious on the average time table when WWE games are released, how long after mods are a thing? Also would it be possible with this new engine? Quote

The file structure is nearly the same as 2k20. 2k20 took almost a year before people could make mods for it outside of sound stuff. This game has some differences. To to mention, there are like 6 months of DLC coming out and patches that will possibly break tools and change file structures. Realistically, could be 6 months. Could be less. Could be more. 1 Quote
OllyEntertainment Posted March 12, 2022 Author Posted March 12, 2022 thank you for the reply, much appreciated. Quote
Kivos Posted March 12, 2022 Posted March 12, 2022 Probably 6-10 months The dlc and updates might break mods and tools, so it's annoying to work on it while game is getting regular updates and patches. 2K20 was a disaster, and didn't sell well. A lot of modders simply stopped trying to mod it, and went back to 2K19. That is why the modding scene wasn't great on 2K20 Quote
OllyEntertainment Posted March 14, 2022 Author Posted March 14, 2022 Oh damn, hopefully they made this some what simple for the modders this time around Quote
thebrianwright Posted March 15, 2022 Posted March 15, 2022 As of now someone on pwm has made a mod with a tool so it may be sooner then you think 1 Quote

It's the constant patches and changes in file structures from the DLCs that tend to break the tools and make modding difficult. Early mods may mostly be texture swaps only but they are making headway. It may seriously be June-July before we see a big jump. Quote
petebaldwin Posted March 17, 2022 Posted March 17, 2022 (edited) I’ve seen plenty on Twitter to show they are making very good progress. As mentioned, patches and DLC will break things but everything is looking positive. We just have to wait until it’s all ready. eg: Edited March 17, 2022 by petebaldwin Quote
