Combo Speed?!

I'm struggling with the Combos and matching them up with their supposed moves. Just how fast are you supposed to hit the buttons (Rapid or Slow) t1o carry out moves? I find this very frustrating and almost no fun at all. It is affecting my Showcase Challenges, big time. Thanks for any help!

Not sure. It doesn't seem very rapid, though. I guess you hit the next one when the animation for the first one finishes.
