It won't let me change "texture quality" in graphics options for the PC version.

I can only select "standard". In fact, it is grayed out and I can't change it at all. It is stuck at "standard".

My PC specs are: i7-7700, RTX 2070 Super, 16 GB DDR4 RAM, SSD drive, 1080P Freesync monitor.

Here's a screenie of the graphics settings menu and as you can see, the "texture quality" option is "standard" and it is grayed out.

How do I change it??

Same issue here. I wonder if they plan on fixing that with a patch?

Perhaps the game only allows it with a certain amount of video memory, even though it should probably be fine with 8GB. Or maybe it depends on the resolution and 2k doesn't think 1080p benefits from larger textures or whatever.

If it's anything like previous games you can try the following:

While the game isn't running, open Documents\WWE 2k22\config.ini with a text editor. Change texture_quality = 0 (try different values instead of 0), start the game and see if it worked.

same, it was running at 180fps on the benchmark, kinda pointless on my 60fps monitor so would be nice to exchange it over to increase textures

Could always try and edit the config.ini in the documents folder. I haven't personally tried it though.

Yeah I thought this was strange...

Half expecting a patch to drop Friday. In addition I'd also love to find a way to get rid of the 30fps enterances and cut scenes if possible. I was hitting 280-300fps on my benchmark at 1440p.

changing texture_quality value in config.ini doesn't change anything, set to 0 by default, try to change it to 1 and 3 still got standard in 1080p, the quality texture is bind to resolution, this needs to be patched.

If you look at some of the videos comparing the regular and next gen versions, they pretty much look identical.  I did notice in the video below it seems the next gen version has better cloth physics as you can see Damian Priest's vest clip through the title belt on the last gen system.

It would be interesting to see if the PC version texture quality choice will actually make a difference when it is working correctly.

Stiill no update for changing the texture quality, I hope they can also address this issue because some pc users have overkill specs for this game and yet your only allowed to play for standard texture which is for me very annoying and make the game so ugly. I hope 2k will put some Effort for this because the users cannot enjoy playing at standard texture, So terrible. and you call this version of WWE it Hits Different? so Weird.

I don't know what game you're playing. But the differences in PS5 and PC (at 4K) are marginal.

The biggest issue is really the locked 30 FPS for the action camera and wrestler entrances as that is really jarring from the smooth gameplay of the matches even if they are capped at 60 FPS.  It is really dumb to gimp the PC version to try and make the so called console Next Gen versions to seem so much better.

Really? Marginal? The Point here is that the game is not a graphic intensive game. You have an RTX Card and yet your only getting High Setting, Are you not Concerned? or maybe You only played WWE2k just this year.  I think So.  In short your just another gamer not a fan.
