competergames v1 Posted October 29, 2004 Posted October 29, 2004 Whadup?! Long time. So what's it going to be: CodeBreaker (CB), Action Replay (AR), or GameShark (GS) i.e. which device is going to be the "default" for all your hacks? Specifically, which one should I buy to be able to test/use your codes soon as you've hacked them i.e. without having to convert them, etc. For HCTP, you were mostly CB; same ol, same ol for SVR too? Let me know. Thanks. Quote
Twist of Fate Posted October 30, 2004 Posted October 30, 2004 Odd, I seem to remember most of Toki's hacks being posted in HEX so they just had to be converted to a format, which there are programs where all you gotta do is put in the hex and push convert and it changes it...very nifty Quote
Supa #2 Posted October 30, 2004 Posted October 30, 2004 Whoa, I remember you dude. Yeah, I think Twist might be right there. Quote
Twist of Fate Posted October 30, 2004 Posted October 30, 2004 Whoa, I remember you dude. Yeah, I think Twist might be right there. lol....yeah, im pretty sure that they were all in Hex....and if i can come up with a copy of SvR I'll try my hand at hacking it....just like the last 4 out of 5 games of course, i wont accomplish much...but ill do it Quote
Guest Guest Posted October 30, 2004 Posted October 30, 2004 Tok's codes were all posted in CodeBreaker's format first and then converted to other formats by other members later on was what I meant to say, etc. Atleast that's how I remembered it i.e. when HCTP first came out, I tested all his codes on my CB right when he posted them, etc. Just wanted to know if he (or any of the other great hacks) will be using CB as default again OR are we "upgrading" to AR Max, etc. this time round. Thanks for the replies guys. You there Tok? Quote
competergames v1 Posted October 30, 2004 Author Posted October 30, 2004 ^ That's me by the way. lol Quote
Supa #2 Posted October 30, 2004 Posted October 30, 2004 Whoops lol... I better change that setting Quote
tokidoim Posted October 30, 2004 Posted October 30, 2004 I'll be posting everything I do in HEX NTSC. The GS3/4 and older Codebreaker devices were able to use the HEX format as the code format. Everyone else will have to encrypt, but all encryption programs start out in HEX, so that's best for everyone, I think. nosig Quote
Twist of Fate Posted October 31, 2004 Posted October 31, 2004 *waits for people to say 'do what?'* Quote
BigBossman Posted November 1, 2004 Posted November 1, 2004 I'll be posting everything I do in HEX NTSC. The GS3/4 and older Codebreaker devices were able to use the HEX format as the code format. Everyone else will have to encrypt, but all encryption programs start out in HEX, so that's best for everyone, I think. nosig I guess this means that most of these games that require version 7.0 Code Breaker or higher will not be able to use HEX digits? I've noticed that for some of these games they don't follow the same pattern they used to. For Example: Mortal Kombat: Deception's player modifier codes aren't as simple as they normally should be. I've noticed that the addresses & values are totally different. For Player 1 to always be Scorpion you enter 5FFE739B 7F40AB91 For Player 1 to always be Baraka you enter FCCE4B1B 3CA2E5B9 I hate to say it but I think SD VS RAW will be very similar to this. Which will make it even tougher to hack or at least to notice any patterns. Quote
competergames v1 Posted November 1, 2004 Author Posted November 1, 2004 (edited) Thanks Tok! Guess I'll be keeping my old CB then. Hey, I've really been curious about the new Action Replay Max (AR Max) for sometime now, and plan on getting one asap; so does anyone know if that trusty conversion site of our's converts... Hex -> AR Max More simply, does AR2 conversions work for AR Max, etc.? Thanks. Edited November 1, 2004 by competergames v1 Quote
Twist of Fate Posted November 2, 2004 Posted November 2, 2004 (edited) No, the HEX codes can be converted into ANY format pending finding a program or site that can do it.... and different devices have different codes....GS2 v2. codes are different than GS2 v3. but HEX can be converted into any format Edited November 2, 2004 by Twist of Fate Quote
competergames v1 Posted November 3, 2004 Author Posted November 3, 2004 So does AR2 conversions work for AR Max, etc.? Thanks ToF. Quote
Twist of Fate Posted November 3, 2004 Posted November 3, 2004 I don't think so....they're two different devices (i.e. GS2v2 and GS2v3) its possible that they will, but highly doubtful Quote
competergames v1 Posted November 3, 2004 Author Posted November 3, 2004 Damn. Well, looks like it's going to be me and my CodeBreaker v.1.0 til PS3 arrives. I'm ready to test your Hex when you're ready to hack them Tok, ToF, etc. Just bring it... bitchez! lol Quote
Twist of Fate Posted November 3, 2004 Posted November 3, 2004 lol well...id like to get a copy of the game first... Quote
