Tools Needed:

Hex Calculator

GCNCrypt program from gscentral.com (links to download page) : http://www.gscentral.com/menu.pl?Download

DOR CAW tool by Alex Underhill (copy&paste to download): http://www.geocities.com/alexunderhill2000.../DORCawTool.zip

Alex's CAW Tool may not work correctly when you first unpack it. I had to move all the files in the "values" folder to the main "DOR Caw Tool" folder except for the index.html file. It works flawlessly. Alex probably won't get a chance to fix it anytime soon. I might go in and fix the links and repack it for him if I get the urge. The help.html filr has a pretty complete walkthrough.

What's not in there:

[*]GCNCrypt game ID is 2E7 for PAL regions and 2EF for NTSC regions

[*]You must apply an offset to the number from the DOR Caw Tool Move slot (the 8-digit number on the left side of the DOR Caw Tool) if you want to use it on an NTSC system. Before pasting the number into the center, put it into a Hex Calculator and subtract 1EEE0 from the number. Then put it into the center. The move values (the 8-digit number on the right hand side) do not need to be changed.

Making different moves:

In addition to having Special moves available in normal move slots and having strong moves available for weak move slots, there are many diverse moves you can have from a variety of positions:

Grapple slots (standing or running) and Grappled striking slots: Any striking or grappling move can be used in these slots except for the weak rear grapple slots and the running back grapple slot. Those slots can only use rear grapple or rear running grapple moves, but they are interchangeable. Often, rear grapples in front grapple slots and vice-versa will look strange when pulling them off because your opponent will spin around and align on you.

Grapple moves in striking moves slot: If you set a grapple move as one of your striking moves, you'll shoot across the ring and align on your opponent to do the move - even if your opponent is down. You'll even hit the move from outside the ring on an opponent inside the ring. I haven't seen this type of move reversed after numerous executions.

Aerial moves in striking moves with the opponent down slot: When using these, keep in mind 3 things: 1 - since the ready position on the turnbuckle is midway up, you'll actually stand in midair if the move you've put in this slot makes your CAW stand up on the turnbuckle. 2 - these moves have almost no range , so you'll need to be right next to the downed opponent to hit a pinning aerial move from the ground. 3 - while testing I did get a lockup one time...wasn't able to reproduce the lockup, so I'm not sure why it happened.

Taunt slots: Taunts can be replaced with any standing or running strike or grapple. Grappling moves will act just like they do if you put them into a striking move slot.

Double Team moves will notwork unless you have a partner and may cause lockups.

Corner grapple moves will teleport you to the corner.

There's still more stuff to test...

mots : I think you'd get a bunch of hits if the site showed up when googling for "Day Of Reckoning Codes Action Replay." I doubt there'll be enough going on to dedicate a whole forum, but this forum isn't being used for much else, so you could point 'em here. Especially since there are absolutely no other places where people can get codes for the game that aren't already on codejunkies.

Supa : In the meantime, there's likely to be a few people who visit the DOR CAW forum who'd be interested. You might wanna jack all the listed PAL and NTSC codes from codejunkies.com, stick 'em on a pinned closed message with a link to this forum for discussion. If so, you might also want to advise that there's only 1 (one) person actually making codes, so requests will probably not get filled except coincidentally, but discussion is welcome, I'm sure.

Much appreciated, its good that some stuffs being documented. Ill just add that a good calculator to use is the one thats in the SD5 Hacking section; It was meant for PS2 Code types but you can use the add/subtract Hex offset feature. It works, dare I say it, quicker than windows calculator, as you can just input the offset once instead of typing (address)(+/-)(address)(=) yeah, im lazy, but you can also copy and paste the results. And yea, supafly, It may be worth me creating one large topic, with a structure etc, for codes and stuff then having it pinned? Then we can get rid of most of the other topics of mine, too.
