Mods in universe mode save issues

I haven’t seen anybody post about this issue I’m having so I thought I’d throw it out there and see if anyone knows the solution. So I nodded in some characters and put them in UM as normal. However, some of the characters I’ve modded in cause a problem where if I try to load back into the save again it won’t let me. If I press it comes up with a blank error message which doesn’t tell me this issue. Does anyone know why this is and how I can fix it. I’d really appreciate it.
