sidkaramat Posted June 10, 2021 Posted June 10, 2021 Hi, the main goal is to increase caw slots, by using either extra slots used for installing mods, or even if for a couple of saves, I will have to sacrifice some in game wresters. As per my understanding, @pozzum do manipulate game memory along with pac plus or perfectplexta to make it happen. So if anyone know about it, then my question is that if the opposite can be achieved using something like cheat engine and making game believe it has let's say 200 slots. If possible then I don't think it will demand more than locking a few addresses while game is running and a save file with more caws, and of course for that save sacrificing some wrestler slots. Thanks in advance. Quote

Thanks in advance. Hi, From what Ive seen and know, perfectplextra isn't actually manipulating the game's memory. The memory addresses used for the extra mod slots are unused memory addresses left over by the developers in the memory block for character model pofo and moveset data. What is done with perfectplextra is add the ID's for the extra slots to the profile.dat file and set them as unlocked since the game reads the default character profile and moveset data from the profile_dat.pac files when creating a new save and will subsequently read the saved data from memory after this. For instance there is one unused memory address for title belts which can be used for a belt mod without replacing one in the game, then you have slots assigned to Create a championship belts. These can be assigned to title belt mods but the title holder data will not save in memory. Its theoretically possible for data to be manipulated which will trick the game into thinking it has 200 slots. The question here is whether the data for any CAW's created in those slots will be saved in memory when you shut down and relaunch the game. Edited June 10, 2021 by BlindedByTheGrace 1 1 Quote
sidkaramat Posted June 10, 2021 Author Posted June 10, 2021 Pozzum do it with his wrestleplus and for that to work properly wrestleplus has to be running all the time. Otherwise they say Save file will get corrupted. But it's good to see an expert opinion on it, and I wasn't aware of the title belt trick, will definitely look into it in depth. Because normally I don't care for anything other than my overly sized divas beat the hell out of puny wrestlers . So thanks bro @BlindedByTheGrace, for being as helpful as ever. Quote

Hi, Those slots already had memory addresses but were somehow locked when loaded from memory. Wrestleplus couldn’t assign memory addresses to slots the developers did not assign memory addresses or those they removed. For instance slot ID’s for removed 2k18 superstars can’t be used, like 692,698 and a host of others. 1 Quote
Cave Waverider Posted June 10, 2021 Posted June 10, 2021 No, you can't increase the number of CAW slots past 100 even with WrestlePlus. All you can do is cannibalize these 100 CAW slots to have 100 more slots for mods instead. Even if you somehow increased the limit of the CAWs to more than 100, it would likely screw up the save and more than 100 likely wouldn't be usable by the game anyway (you'd have to mod the menus, etc. and even then it may not work). 1 Quote
