Install arenas overcreated areanas? Or over the Japan arenas?

Hey guys,

I have a WM 11 arena and I was curious to ask a question on installing it. So according to the Smacktalks forum on Arena Modding section, you can only replace arenas instead of install separate ones. Can you replaced arenas you might of created? And if I can only replace arenas existing in game, can I replace the Japan arena that is in WWE 2k19 by default? If so, how do I find out the arena IDs?

The Japan ones are a bit tricky, as they use asset slots also used by other arenas (e.g. Japan Hall uses modern WWE turnbuckles). Overwrite one apron and you mess up 20 other arenas. Ideally you'd need to overwrite existing assets you don't use or assign the assets to new/unused slot numbers, although I'm not exactly sure how to do the latter as I doubt it's as simple as changing the file name. @Abhilash@B4G.TV@BlindedByTheGrace or @mattfick may be able to help with that one.

As for the custom slots, the 50 generic SMACKDOWN LIVE slots between 200 - 249 in misc01 are for the custom shows. You should be able to overwrite those as long as you don't have any existing custom arenas installed in those slots. I wouldn't recommend that personally though as custom slots are handy to have for arenas not yet made in mod format. There's plenty of good creations on CC.

Are there Excel sheets or a document, that tells you the ID slot of each arena respectfully similar to the wrestlers with the CCT & Data Editor tool?  I saw this pretty cool Arena mod file on 2kmodz that includes all arenas from 2k15 to 2k18 http://2kmodz.com/file/fb30f2f61351a6fa775320f840d67df9

I was looking at the description of this file and I saw a youtube video of someone showcasing it as well. Does this mod essentially reveal hidden arenas already in the game? Is that why no arena is replaced?

In terms of using Create an arena slot, is there a tutorial somewhere on how to replace a create an arena? I have maybe.... 3-6 create arenas I downloaded from the CC on the PC, but I was curious to know if I downloaded a modded arena counter part to override that one, if it would be possible?

Thanks,

@mattfick Thanks for the heads up! I'll try to look into it. Is there anywhere I can find out the Arena ID numbers? And how do i identify the number of extra slots I have for arenas?

@mattfick I looked at your Arena tutorial video just a few minutes ago and i have one question. When you were in wrestleminus showing the arena names that were in the game and those slots that were null, did those names automatically generate for you? or did you type those in manually?

could you open Wrestleminus on your end and see what it shows? Because on my end, the name section shows like nothing.

@Wolfstrike28 first open your string file in wrestleminus. When you see all the string names listed. close it, and reopen your misc file.

the one in your pac\string\win folder. The string file your game uses, might be in your mod folder. IDK.

So i opened Wrestleminus>Open>go to wwe 2k19\mods\Superstring\pac\win\string_win.pac>and click.

So i do that, and on the left side of my menu i see this:

@B4G.TV is there something from here I should click on before I open the misc 1 file?

click the top file, click the one in there, keep going until u cant anymore and you see the names popup in wrestleminus.

then close and open the misc.

Wrestleminus doesn't know what strings(names) to fill the columns in misc file without first getting them from the string file.

Hey guys,

Ran into an issue. I installed arenas from wwe 2k15-2k18 in this mod pack from 2kmodz. The arenas look like they installed into my game. But when i select my opponents for those arenas, my game stays at an instant load loop. I made sure to regenerate chunk0.def after installing them. The only other thing i feel maybe i did wrong was i overrode my root file with the one that was in the persons arena mod file. could that be the issue?

Thanks,

Arenas share misc01and misc04 files. If you overwrote your misc files with ones from a pack, all your other stuff wont work, or you have duplicate misc01 or misc04 files somewhere in your game folder.

did you install the pac folder to your main 2k19 folder?
